I should have shared this with you when I released it. Move to the 4:50 mark (there's two songs in one). I'm not the best singer but hopefully I did her justice with this song.

Sorry to hear. I don't know what has become of my favorite poetry place but it is not my house and so when I found the rules unacceptable and arbitrary, I had no alternative but to leave. Many others have left before me and the poetry there is suffering because of this.

pinkyaliya In reply to Spriglief [2012-06-23 17:27:25 +0000 UTC]
It's unfortunate to hear that you found the rules unfair. I don't know what the rules are but I can see that maybe the rules were there to protect the forum? Forgive me if they weren't as I havent read them.
The grass is always greener on the other side but you need to remember that rules are built to protect and to guide in the right direction within the boundaries of righteousness.
I wouldn't say the poetry is suffering. The main reason why I read poetry is to remember the Ahlul Bayt and if the poem accomplishes the task, it's a good poem for me. I don't pay attention to structure (although it is a bonus) if that's what you mean as it's suffering.

You welcome, it was my pleasure checking your profile and reading your poem! It is really good and I am seduced by ancient religions and mythology!

It is not ancient. Really it only happened this morning or yesterday if you look at it from the proper vantage point. Some of my poems happen everyday.

heyy! thankyou sooo much for all the feedback. ive made some adjustments to Dead to me -The World Sang- but if you have time, could you rephrase the stanza lines again? I think i understood mostly. :/
And for the image, its just when you submit the poem; there should be an option beneath the text submission for images; i just used a picture saved off google. thankyou sooo much again for the awesome feedback!!! <3

Hey, man! Just haven't contacted you for a while. I'm now a non-degree student at NCSU and campaigning, by dint of applying myself stubbornly, to get accepted as a degree-seeking chemistry student there (because apparently they don't think you're actually SERIOUS about getting a degree in chemistry unless you are making straight-As in everything, which I can do!) ANYWAY, I hope you're doing copacetic

GT called as asked for help to clean up his yard for the little George's Birthday party. With two push lawn mowers going we were finished in about two hours. The children and guest need not fear snakes in the grass now.
I finially decided on an education toy that promises to develop motor skills. Basically it is a box that wooden shapes can be dropped into and taken out. I don't know. His interest seems to be a broom, since his mother Alma is often seen by him playing with it.
His second favorite toy is a broken remote, just like the one his father is often toying with.

Busy right now, working for the US Census. It's easy work and it is nice to have money coming in instead of going out. I still do poetry and am working on an epic work during the Mugal age in India. Its a very rich period and for poetry it is as rich a vein to mine as King Author and the knights of the round table. I want to increase my craft and build on my last big poem, "A Mugal Debates Her Maid." That one showed me I need more then a few clever lines to carry epic lenght poetry. What are are you up to?

What did you think of "A Mugal debates her maid?" I know it is not up to standard, but sometimes you have to push past your competence to increase your craft.

Ok, sorry it took way too long to reply to this.
I found it to be enjoyable, in a sort of classic "fairy tale" way, the underdog fighting for what they want. As a ballad/poem, it really doesn't work, the rhyming didn't seem really organic or anything, but as a short story I liked it alot.

My son was out with a weed eater yesterday buzzing down the ditch by the highway and I did not even ask him to. God has blessed me beyond measure, because little George is doing fine and growing like a weed. His mother has her figure back and it is a joy to see how close she and my son are.

They are the embodiment of hardiness and proliferation as I want my son to thrive under all conditions and never fear the blade of the reaper, which describes a weed.
