Thanks for the tutorial! Honestly I didn't even know such a sewing foot existed until I saw that. It looks incredibly helpful. I will be looking into getting one of those for upcoming costumes.

I figured it's about time I staffed, and it could be potential job-related experience in the guest relations (can't interpret now, but in the future?) :3 But I thought I would at least try it since I've never staffed before.

Yeah, I bet we could meet up! Well, I guess it depends, really. Our weeks are so busy we end up having busy weekends too, doing stuff with people and running errands we couldn't fit during the week. @_@ I'm hoping things settle down a bit soon though so time opens up.

Yeah it does. XD Not that I can really do anything with the badge since I'll have like zero downtime. I won't be "in charge" of anything in terms of areas, more like I have to keep 2-3 guests happy. I get them assigned to me (and a partner) and we have to take turns driving them around, taking care of their requests, etc. basically just being their escorts and making sure they get to places on time. It'll be really busy and stressful, but good experience.

lol Thanks, I think I already have her added here on DA though. But yeah, that would be cool if we could do something sometime. Although even if you'll be here around for Thanksgiving, I'll be with my parents in SW Indiana then ;_; (which is like 7 hours from Chicago).

You definitely shooouuuld~! I have a lot of friends that live far away too. It sucks. All of my conventions are far away! I have to travel at least 3 hours to go, and most of my cosplay friends live further than that! The US is too big.

I live in Indiana. XD I highly doubt you've been here. There is nothing here to visit, haha. It's so boring. I'm hoping to move to California some day, but I don't think that will happen for a long time.

AHH! cool! well I wasn't in Indiana..but just 2 states away: Pennsylvania xD
Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland :3 was a nice but looomng trip from one to another state /city...
But that CAN be a good thing.. so you can save all your money for cosplay *lol* just kidding. I think every stat has some interesting things but sometimes it's hard to find or just not your thing.
California is prettyyy~ but it'd be way too hot for me, haha *hates heat* I'd prefer to live in Alaska, greenland or Sibiria xD

That's pretty neat! What were you in Pennsylvania/the east coast for? :3 I've never been there before myself. XD

California...northern California is actually very cool! It's usually around 15~18 C, if that even. I hope to live there actually. XD It's such a pretty place. I don't like southern California very much. I prefer the forests and mountains of the north. Alaska! It's so cold and dark there! I don't know how anyone can stand it, haha. I have a friend who is living over there now and she always talks about how it's cold and dark and depressing.

I visited friends there :3
I flew to phan-chan (check out his great art on here!) and 2 other friends in New york. we drove with the Bus to Jacks home near Baltimore and went together with MORE friends of him to Otakon in baltimore . after that a friend should've picked me up at otakon..but she suddenly didn'twant to go to otakon <<° so I called her and so we decided that I could come by train.. well.. I drove with the train to pennsylvania (LOOONG drive) and had to wait 9 hours at the damn trainstation ^^°
*dont want to talk about why officially here* and after that I drove with a greyhound bus back to New york to my good friends again and left a few days later. I was over 2 weeks there if I remember right xD

I grew up in the deepest depths of ou r Black Forest in soutgermany. I guess it's the same than alaska *lol*
But I guess when I'm an old granny I don't like cold that much anymore xD so.. we'll see where the wind brings me down :3
I want to travel every state of America. that'd be great. but I don't think I'll ever have the money to do that for real...
But I hope your friend finds a way out of alaska, if it's so hard for her/him

That's really neat! A 2-week trip!. I bet that was a lot of fun. Sounds so busy! That's awesome that you made it to Otakon. I would love to go to that convention some day.

Yup! California is really diverse. South is so hot and desert-y, but the north is cool and pretty. It's a huge state - about the size of Japan!

My friend living in Alaska is there for the Air Force, so she is kind of stuck there for a while. She's dealing with it, but man, I would much rather have some cheery sun, haha. Would you really move to Siberia?!

It was! but also a bit sad because of friends problems etc, I won't tell why or what. it was just a little sad.
Yesss Otakon was SO awesome. wish I could turn back time. it was just awesome (for me at least. I'ms ad that 2 of my friends didn't had such a great time like me, too :[ )

Well, tbh I wouldn't move to siberia. 1. I can't speak the language fluent *shame on me*
2. It's very hard to live there and get a job etc.
But SOMETIMES I just want to move there for a month or two.. so I can have my peace and not a single human getting on my nerves, haha!
There are a lot of nicer places than Siberia... Maybe I'll move to a nice cold and lonely place someday. but so far I don't see this happen since I'd need the money AND time to learn the language and typical things about the people/country there
