I am a young man attending university who has a broad fascination with the cultural world and all things bright and beautiful. I love to speak of and worship the Lord. He is the Maker of the heavens and the earth and all things that live upon it. One day He will come again to judge the living and the dead. He shall make His kingdom upon the earth resurrected. I shall dwell in the cathedral of the Lord forever. With God, chains shall never bind you. You can be freed in His Salvation. By the Passion and the Blood, God shall have you raised out of darkness. To love another person is to see the face of God. I wish for the Lord to give blessings upon you all.
I am called SteamRailwayCompany simply because I have a fascination for railways and steam locomotives. One day I hope to be an engine driver working on the footplate of a fine steam engine, traveling through the beautiful countryside, on a railway exquisitely fine, taking passengers where they want to go. You just may however see more posts concerning God and His promises that I believe in for most of the time, as God makes the most significant aspect of my entire life.

Have you heard about the Tobu Railway and their plans to operate C11 207 on the Tobu Kinugawa Line in August? I traveled on the Tobu Tojo Line each day to attend Rikkyo, and this will be the first time they have had steam operations of any kind in 50 years. Plus, they've installed turntables at Kinugawa-Onsen and Shimo-Imaichi Stations.Β

I have heard of a steam locomotive going under restoration for the Tobu line. Heard about it from Japan Railway journal on YouTube. They also have an episode about the Kyoto railway museum, formerly Umekoji steam locomotive museum. Glad to hear that steam is popular to tourists in Japan. One day, I shall go to Kyoto to visit their railway museum and ride behind C62 2 and feel what it's like riding a steam hauled train.

It was obtained on loan from JR Hokkaido, who previously used it, and was already in operating condition. You bet steam is loved more in Japan than anywhere else in fact, and I saw it with my own eyes. I am so sad to hear you haven't even gotten to ride behind one, yet. Japan is certainly a good place to begin that experience.Β

I did rode a steam powered train in Disneyland California, but I was young back then and couldn't remember the experience. I did rode the Botchan Ressha during my study abroad in Japan, despite being a replica diesel locomotive. I'm thinking on visiting the Mt. Rainier Scenic railroad fir the weekends or next week since they have a steam hauled train there.Β
