LOL I'd say that more than half of what I cook isn't good looking, so I don't bother with my camera. XD Although... I have some really old photos of food I've made and the photos are terrible!

Me too, I still hope to be better and build up a nice portfolio! I think I'm excited because at this point, I'm posting more new work at a faster rate than I did a few years ago in my old DA account.

We can only improve if you train!
For me, it's rather complicated to make beautiful cakes, because where I live, the food is not good, it's very expensive, and we don't always find what we seek. More the warmth prevents them from working with butter! --'

Lol, maybe I will... berry season is coming, yay! Although I've never seen a cake that uses grapes... raisins sure but never grapes. I wonder why....

That is due to the drying out factor. When grapes are baked, or placed in cake, they dry up. It can be made, but usually has only a 3 day window for remaining tasty. So, it is best to test it with a small cake to ensure it being eaten within the small window. As well as make sure to store it where moisture can be held by the snack. If it is in a dry area, that will turn the grapes into little fruit pebbles/rocks. That is NOT tasty.

Lol you actually looked it up! Well that's good to know.... grapes for toppings and raisins for baking. I like eating fresh grapes but anything grape flavored is just nasty to me!

I learned that a while ago. Just, oddly, retained in my memory. I'm strange, don't get baffled over that.

Usually, they overdo the grape taste when they artificially make it. Dunno why.
