Hello!
Welcome to #BasicMembers !
Thank you for joining!
I hope you will be completely understanding to the fact that the group will be rather unorganised for a while. However, if all goes to plan, and I'm certain it will, then we will be exactly the same as #PremiumMembers except for those who aren't able to afford a Premium! ^^
Regardless of all that, I do hope you enjoy being apart of the group!

You're from Saitama, it's near Tokyo right? How is it there? Is it a big city or is it more rural?

well...yes, I live in Saitama, its like 74km from Tokyo, and 1:30h way by train.
actually Saitama is the prefecture (like the state) I live in the city of Kumagaya. maybe 70% city 30%rural.
and dont know why but is the hottest city in saitama.
right now its 11pm and the temperature outside is around 30~32โ
ohh, btw there goes my "watch"!

Sounds good and like a fine city. Japanese cities have such particular kind that I love - the old small houses and the narrow alleys and on the other side the big cities like Tokyo, Osaka ...
Thats really hot A friend saied (shes in utsunomiya now): there is it hot too and sticky and she don't want go outside!
Germany is sooo cold these days ...
Thank you for the watch!
Ahh thx for the advice, I must learn more japanese (don't use it much since some month)!

well yeah, kumagaya is not that fancy but its not bad, and all these narrow streets are not bad either, as long as you drive a small car! ha-ha.
oh, and for going to tokyo I have to pass through utsunomiya.
you know, I found very interesrting that how can you be so interested in this country and want to learn its culture and all. you even studied at university. wow thats amazing. I didnt know you could study japan in college.
have you ever consider to come some day?

SukiSuna In reply to jktorres [2011-08-13 09:42:53 +0000 UTC]
So kumagaya is a normal city in japan? Did kumagaya have something special e.g. for visiting (for tourist)? Sometime I will see such a city and so much more of japan!
and you have a small car for this streets - can you take a photo of a small street in kumagaya for me? Please, if it's no trouble to you!
You pass through utsunomiya - hmm isn't utsunomiya more nothern than kumagaya and tokyo? or am I wrong?
I want to learn more about the land and his culture (it's so diffrent to my culture) and people and all! especially at uni but my japanese isn't so good ... so I must quit my studies, but perhaps I can continue it at a new uni.
Yes, last year i wanted to go to japan as au-pair, but sadly it doesn't work. It's a big wish to see japan with my own eyes! (hopefully in the next years)

uhmm...well, kumagaya is just a normal city I guess. with nothing special to see.(for tuorist) but the next city - Gyoda, is very famous for its sakura park. specially at night, because there's a big sakura tree at the top of one hill and its illuminated from below. so its just beautifull! if you like photography, you cant miss it.
and unfortunately, my car is not quit a small one. lol actually is like a taxi size. and sure, I could take some photos for you, just let me find a nice narrow street!
ohh and I'm sorry, you are right! utsunomiya is not in the way to tokyo!!!
and dont't give up, as you said, theres always next year for comming! Despite all the recently ploblems here, Japan is gonna last for very very long!

Aww I don't have much time these days, sorry for the late answer!

So Gyoda is good for hanami? Hmm so I should notice this city for a view!?
Wow thank you so much! I'm anxious to see the photo.
Many people in japan go by train (in the big cities) or go by bike (in the smaller cities)?! In germany everyone have a car or more and go by car. Is it in japan so too?
Ah kay, I thought I was wrong. Utsunomiya looks nice (I saw photo of my friend), small and kinda familliar.
I hope so, I still wanna see japan!

no worries, everybody is busy these days.
yes! Gyoda is spectacular for hanami. actually... you can check my fav folder and see the sakura tree I told you about. (go to the artist gallery for more pics) amazing!!!
and...I guess Japan is not much different from Germany in that way. In big cities people goes by train and by car in smaller ones here too.

Awww more 'no time' in my case sorry ><
How are you? I hope fine
I saw the photo of the tree, it's amazing and wonderful! I love such big trees and I think hanami is a great time in japan!
Yes, right - the city are so full of cars and going by train oder bike is faster than going by car. But at my place you need a car (really small village).
