Haha, I know my username is soooo secretive, right? I've just been writing a novel (or trying to). I made a book cover for it and posted 3 I may choose online. I think I'm going to end up choosing this really simple but mysterious one of a fence but I have to get the photographer's permission first (got the image from deviantart). By the way, your art is as amazing as ever!

I got my permit yesterday and started learning to swim. I stink at it, lol but I'm not a terrible driver. Ummm hmm...just trying not to be bored out of my mind which so far is working.

I think I may go down and visit NC soon! We all have to get together and hang out. That'll be soooo fun! I miss you! (Wow, this is kind of a long message. Oh well!)aND HOW DO YOU ADD THESE SMILEY FACES??

I just got my permit, too! (A week ago, but close enough!)
OOh, nice! I'm a horrible writer- Katherine and you win the author award I gave up on writing a book. Just Fanfiction now!
If you don't mind me asking, how long/what is your book about?
You need to upload some of your amazing artwork and stuff!!!

Haha! Yeah, I know, it's weird I don't know how to swim cause I'm ALWAYS going to the beach and islands and stuff. We used to stay at this one island all the time! then we went on 3 cruises so if I ever fell over the boat...bye bye Summer. Your smiley faces are hilarious too! I drove today but I've driven before (in the country). I'm afraid to drive anywhere. I don't want to crash.

We should go see a movie. Maybe the Amazing Spider Man (is that out yet?) I went to NC for a family reunion not too long ago and I saw Borders was gone. If you type in Borders.com the barnes and noble website came up! They took over all their customers. So sad. But I like barnes and noble. They should at least but that store up where borders used to be but I heard they're putting a michaels.

What do you think? It's taken me forever to write it and it's waay too long. My problem right now is finishing it but also cutting down the word count.

Time to learn then, so you won't drown D: I had to drive on the freeway yesterday. It was so scary, I almost sideswiped a car because it was in my blindspot! Lesson learned: Always physically turn and check that there's nothing beside you when changing lanes.

Sorry for these late replies, by the way! I'm rarely on, just because I'm too busy enjoying my 30-something library books that I checked out, hehe.

I don't know if the Amazing Spiderman is out yet.
I don't know when you're coming to NC next, either.
Barnes and Nobles are good, but expensive, and the sale section still costs a lot! Unlike Borders, but online there's no cheap 1 dollar weird books.

Wow, that is really cool. Apocalypse-type scenario, huh? It sure sounds interesting! Though I would never in my mind think that you would have to cut DOWN on your book. But then again, been there, done that with short stories. Everything seems really important, and you don't want to cut down anything but you have to.
Easiest thing: Cut out meaningless adjectives. It works for me

Let me know when it comes out! I wanna buy one!

Hey! It's been forever since I got to respond (then again it's been forever since I was even online.) My whole life got put on pause for a week. See my aunt died (I didn't know her but I'm sure she was an amazing person). We took a 10 hour drive up to Virginia, heard the news on the way, and stayed for a week with my crazy but fun family that I hadn't see in years.

I still need to practice driving now that I'm back home (got back yesterday. Our car overheated 45 min away from home and we had to stay in this restaurant in the middle of nowhere trying to figure out a way to get back all the while dying of heatstroke lol) And Borders IS expensive. You can buy like 1 book for $20. I thought I could get the book cheap on Amazon but people sell the popular books for about the same price as the ones instore and you have to pay for shipping too!

My dad's being cheap and I need a new cell phone and I cannot go to school-no scratch that-I REFUSE to go to school with an embarrassing phone the size of my thumb, haha. I'm totally texting deprived!!!
How has your summer been? (Did I already ask you that?) This personally has been the worst summer of my life. Can you say bored to tears??? Anyway, I'm still bubbly though. Boring summers cannot break my spirit!

Yeah, I tend to forget about deviantart. So much more to do than be on the internet, sometimes. Gotta read all the books in the library and stuff!
Comic Con would've been expensive, plus the tickets were sold out, so I was kinda bummed, but I learned and I'll save up for next year, maybe!
Woah, that's a small phone! Mine just recently fell in water, actually, so I don't think it's going to be working for a while.

My summer's been fine, I guess. A bit boring, since there's summer work to do for IB and things... so I can't say I can fully enjoy annotating a book about writing nonfiction. Aww, I'm sorry about your horrible summer! There's still a month left, though! You can do a lot in a month Draw something! Keep writing!
I'm sure you are very inspired by the randomest things, and you could probably create an awesome piece of art (literary or visual) out of a random idea!

That's so true. School starts in 2 weeks for me and I have ABSOLUTELY nothing ready. I need a cell phone (I think an android), I need tons of new clothes and all the girly basics.

I should be done with yet another draft of my novel. I'm such a perfectionist but hopefully after this I can work on the finer details such as how it actually sounds rather than the plot. I'm super behind on my deadline and my brother is sitting behind me bothering me and asking to get on the computer over and over, lol

Oh, and I'll be 17 soon. Yay!

Hey, I have a new story idea! I know, I know, I haven't finished the one I'm working on now but ugh I've been working on that for moooooonths. Anyway, I really need your help. I need this new story to be an absolute page turner.

Description: Diseases have been eliminated on Earth but the world is overpopulating fast. After a third world war, only five nations remain. Each nation sends a group of four teenagers on a journey to planet Mars. Their ability to survive will determine which nation will populate Mars. Though there will come a time when each opponent will choose their own fate: fight for their nation, or die trying to escape.

Do you have any ideas about what could happen while they're on Mars trying to survive? I need CONFLICT. They must SUFFER. Lol, just kidding...or am I?

It would be a page turner for sure, but you can't have something common preventing them from populating the actual planet itself..
like disease or martians. Though both at the same time, plus explosions and death (THERE MUST BE LONG DRAWN OUT SUFFERING DEATHS) and a war on mars would be cool.

I have a feeling I just ruined your book idea.

Food runs out. They resort to cannibalism.
Water there turns them into something scary.
Hunger Games-like. Everyone save for two people dies.

Haha, yes, suffering and death and destruction. How lovely. Writers are evil!! I'm having the same amount of trouble trying to figure out bad stuff to happen. I mean, my mind is blank. All I can think of is the normal stuff like what you mentioned: food, disease, and martians (though I will say cannibalism did not cross my mind, lol)

Grrr....and now I'm having trouble with book titles too (yeah, yeah, that's not important right now but STILL I want a cool title.)
It's got to be thoughtful/poetic or suspenseful.
Here are some (pretty awful) ideas I have for titles.
A Place Called Mars
Blood Red Planet
If Stars Could Speak (I just wanted to start something with "if" like the books "If I Stay" and "If I Die Before I Wake" which I think is pretty)
Beneath a Billion Stars
Boundless
Forsaken (Planet)
The Fourth Planet

That's just my opinion on what books I could see myself picking up.

Thanks a ton! Okay, so the novel has completely changed and morphed into something verrry different and because of that, I had to scrap ALL those names. But I think the book will be better for it (if I even end up writing the book that is.) Here's the new story idea.
Ten years have passed since the dawn of the Lunar Revolution and the war continues as the moon colony fights to gain its independence. Tara has lived on Earth her entire life but when soldiers rip her from her home, she discovers that she was born Lunar, a "moon kid." Torn between two world, Tara is offered a choice - join the war and fight for Earth or never return home again. But can she betray the homeland she's never known?

By the way, what have you been up to lately?? How's your summer? Still crafting beautiful necklaces and bracelets and awesome things?
