LlamasThe number of times I’ve seen a new Feedback notification, got excited to see who did what, only to find out that it was just some random user I have no memory of that gave me a llama badge, has become annoying. I asked earlier what llamas do, and my answer was as I suspected: absolutely nothing. They’re just things you collect for the sake of collecting.
There are three reasons I can think of that I’ve received llamas. One is to thank me for faving or commenting on some of the user’s work. That’s okay and all, but I would prefer a written comment thanking me. Even if it’s as simple as “Thanks for the fave!”, it’s at least some attempt I can appreciate, and at least I can remember what I did. The second reason I can think of is to basically advertise their own work. This is the most annoying one to me, as it's the equivalent of an ad popping up at the bottom of a YouTube video. And again, I would much prefer giving me a direct link
