Hey dude, how goes it? I finally saw the Dark Knight Rises. Still have yet to see Spider-Man though, and to be honest...I hate admitting it , given how much I adored the other 2 movies, but TDKR it's only my opinion but I think it sucked compared to its predecessors. To the movie's credit the ending scene That was cool in an emotionally powerful and thought provoking way and as always it's interesting and fun to see a writer's take as to how the journey of Batman could end. The things that rubbed me the wrong way the most besides how a lot of things didn't add up to well in the story were the villains(at least by the 3rd Act) and the fact that pretty much No One got much screentime compared to what they deserved. Catwoman got so little time in the movie you could've excluded her from the plot and the story almost would've remained unchanged. Even Batman himself got little time on camera, it was all mostly just Bruce. And Talia Al Ghul, what was her point? By the time you realize who she was, what she was doing and why she was only around for like 2 minutes then they just kill her off, and another thing in my opinion they really butchered her character. I mean why was she a psycho wanting revenge for her father? She doesn't give a rat's behind about her father or his ideals. If that was Harley or Poison Ivy it woulda made a helluva lot more sense but where as they follow the character specs of catwoman almost to the letter they just destroyed Talia I feel, and Bane, it hurt me personally to learn in the final chapters of the movie that he was basically just Talia's b***h, even if I consider the special bond they established between them. And the way they killed him off doesn't even get the distinction of anti-climactic, not to mention they downplayed the crap out of the whole deal of Batman getting "Broken". All in all, I'd have to give the movie a 6 out of 10 at best but again that's just me. What did you think of it?

I liked it. I don't think it matched the cinematic greatness of the past 2, but to be honest, I enjoyed it more than those two for some reason. It just had more suspense for me than the last 2 which is why it was so engaging for me. But I do admit that Catwoman was terribly underused (which is why I'm hoping for a spin-off that takes place in Italy considering her and Bruce live there now) and that the villains deaths were anti-climactic. I also don't like how Talia was introduced and essentially had no character, as well as how Bane became downplayed following her reveal. What I will say though is that unlike most people, I wouldn't mind them doing a Justice League movie with John Blake as Batman instead of Bruce Wayne. Since I really don't want to see this rebooted AGAIN and because this universe look like it'll fit so well with the Man of Steel movie that's coming out next year. And also, you should really try to see Spider-Man before it's out of theaters, I personally find it tied with The Avengers and Batman as my favorite movie this year just because I can't really say which one I like over the rest except for Spider-Man since he's my favorite superhero.
