Mischief and Mistletoe“Rokken?” Duck hopped up to stand on the cart’s bench, shouting up to the hayloft’s second story port. “Rokkeeeeeeennnn?” She picked an apple from the cart and lobbed it at the window. The first one hit the wooden frame and exploded into juicy shards, which the two snowpuffs hitched to the cart gleefully snaffled off the ground. “Whoops,” Duck grabbed another apple from the giant pile and tried again. This one hit the mark.
“ARGH!” There was a brief moment of frantic scrambling over wooden boards and hay before a sleepy elf face peeked from the loft. His pale brows knitted in consternation when he spotted the redhead beaming up at him. His sigh was audible, and he took a bite of the apple that had so rudely awakened him.
“Goooooood morning!” Duck chirped, sitting back down on the cart.
“Matter of opinion,” the elf muttered, stretching. He yawned and swung his legs out of the loft to dangle over. “

I uh, see Lucky is still listed as Audendum's mate?
But anyways I just wanted to say that after a LOT of mulling it over, I'm thinking that yes, they could be besties. It would take a LOT of time for Lucky to get over their breakup and it would hurt her to see Audendum for a while at first, but after about...I dunno, a few months, she gets over it, and they become BFFs.

Down the burrowTwo mares raced against the wind in a dry forest, in perfect harmony with themselves, each other, and nature. They laughed, the sound echoing against the trees, as they obviously enjoyed their time together. One of the mares tried to follow her mate, though she was much faster than her.
“Lucky, wait for me, darling!”
Lucky stopped and turned around, approaching her mate as she stopped as well.
“Audendum, my love.” She purred as she affectionately rubbed her muzzle against the other mare’s cheek.
Audendum returned the gesture, amorously. They stood like this for a moment before Audendum’s lips stretched into a mischevious smirk as she looked lovingly at Lucky, as she did the same, and she winked at her partner, before galloping ahead of her.
Lucky followed, laughing at her mate’s behavior.
They continued like this for an hour, the afternoon sun beaming down on them and reflecting on their beautiful coats, until they found a spot to relax in,unde
