Vector is a method of making computer graphics that describes mathmatically where a shape is, rather than describing the color of pixels in a grid. So, instead of having a 50x50 image with pixels defined as either black or white that makes a large black circle, you could mathmatically say put a circle here and make it this wide.

I guess you could look at it like, there's two ways to describe a circle. You could explain what the circle LOOKS like, or you could explain how to make one. Vector images explain how to make the pictures, and regular (raster) drawings explain what they look like.

Oh, I just saw this. Well, my theory about Half Life and Half Life 2 is that Gordon Freeman is a non-verbal autistic man, who happens to be Savant at using firearms. He was placed at Black Mesa through an outreach program. His job was to put on the hazard suit and push samples into the beam.
His interactions with others, and his rise to fame, strengthen this theory!
