The key is not to give up and in the extra, spare time use it to improve yourself and relax when possible.

It is extremely difficult to not have the thing you desire most, especially if you feel pressure from society and family, and your yoursel because you don't want to be a drain on anyone.
But this is just a season.So though you feel miserable from the limitations you have currently...you also have resources others do not(time)
See it as the period in which the athlete has to work and train and must forgo a few things, or like the student who much study hard and not spend or go out often. 
When you feel frustrated, channel that towards changing your situation: more cvs, learning skills, development of yourself, even development o business ideas.
The key is not to lose hope, but fuel passion instead.
