Hello, and welcome to my profile!
If you're reading this, I want to warn you in advance that I am one of the laziest, most inactive people you will probably find on this site. This account is practically abandoned except for the fact that it isn't. It just looks like it is for most of the year until I get a wild hair to pop back on and see how everyone is doing.
At some point, I am going to go through my gallery and toss most of everything either into scraps so it's out of the way or take things down completely. I'm not sure yet. In any case, most of it is not an accurate representation of what I can do now and it's honestly kind of shameful that some of it is still there. I've had this account for about five years now; I daresay I've improved during that time.

Sounds like your group is off to a pretty good start, then. c: I would've filled out an app for it, but I've been so bogged down as it is that I wouldn't be able to juggle another group. Of course, some days you'd never know it with all the groups I jabber about that look "-so amazing, and I really want to join!" XD

Yeah, it can get a bit crazy. Activity checks can be a bit of a problem, and I've had to ask for a few extensions what with multiple assignments at a time and schoolwork. It's a bit of a complex balancing act, but I think it's worth it. c: I don't think I could devote all my time to just one group, anyhow.

lol my group only has activity checks if no one is being active. instead we have an event every month or so and you just have to participate in two or three a year. i know how much of a pain activity checks can be, they always seem to come around at inconvenient times.

That seems like it would be a good system. c: I think the most inconvenient time for an activity check is literally right around Christmas. Not many people got them done, so the founder just announced we all have a one week grace period, thankfully.

I quite agree. The grace week gives us until the fifth to do it, and people with extensions get an extra two days added to that. I should have mine done by then, since it was a fairly simple check to begin with.

Just to show your Infected character is still alive after the winter (if you have an Infected) and to show your Eden character reacting to the new Overseer (if you have an Eden dog). Backgrounds weren't required or anything, so very simple. I happen to have one of each, but I know a few people who have around five characters.

Ah. It is a good idea, but I still say the timing was horrible. The group does have a lot of inactive members, though, so I can understand why something like this would be necessary. The general idea is that all the sudden deaths will be from a plague of some kind.

It's a shame that schools would do something like this. While I do agree that informational texts are important, I believe its equally important that children are encouraged to read fiction books as well. It teaches them to use their imaginations, and that is something that should be considered a very important part of learning. Without imagination, I highly doubt technology would be as advanced as it is now. Actually, I'm positive it wouldn't be.
I certainly commend you for making a fit about the matter, as those people most definitely need to know what they're doing isn't something everyone agrees with. c:

It is ridiculous, no doubt about that. But we live now in a world obsessed with political correctness. Something, or someone, is always going to end up offending someone else; and, when it does, it is removed. In the end, no one wins.
Political correctness is an excuse. Just like HARRY POTTER being banned for having "magic" means DEVILLLLLL WORSHIPPPPP (hissss!) is an excuse. All these "reasons" behind all these bans really boil down to one thing: Excuses. It's all too ridiculous not to be excuses.
If you like the book, that's fine. If you don't, that's fine, too. It's your opinion and you have a full right to it. However, banning a book, censoring a book, because of an excuse isn't right, it isn't ethical, it doesn't make one book better than another. In the end, you should not be told what you're reading is either moral or immoral, good or bad, right or wrong, etc. We should be free to read what we want. And that's the point of this stamp.

I quite agree with everything you've said. In the end, if the person who read the book doesn't agree with it, all they have to do is either stop reading or never read it again. They don't need to go out and ruin it for the rest of us just because they didn't like it or agree with it. Not everyone has the same morals or definitions of what they believe to be right or wrong, and just because a group of people decided that they didn't agree with what was in the book doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same. I fully support reading banned books, and I don't think people realize just how many books are actually banned. The stamp you made will hopefully help them realize this.
