Thank you for the compliment! It's cool that you want to improve, but don't put the cart before the horse - you'll get better with every piece you draw, whether you want to or not. I would say that you shouldn't be down on yourself, if you feel at times that you're not improving - you actually are, even though it might not seem like it. Stay true to yourself, get better with every piece, and keep moving on in your quest to improve; if you do all three, you're on the road to become an outstanding pixel artist.
