Thanks. I'm a big fan of both the group and Roger Deans art. Nice gallery you've got there.

Thankyou. I've been a huge fan of Yes since 1979, and had Yes music in my wedding. Roger Dean was truly a hero in high school. I've actually met and chatted with Patrick Moraz as well. For X-mas I'm getting the Drama re-release with the unreleased songs.

Nice. Lately I've been getting into Relayer and Tales From Topographic Oceans; two albums that had always been a bit impenetrable to me in the past.

I first got Relayer for Xmas of 1980...it's the perfect winter album. I got Tales when I was home from the army in December of 1981 - I love those first two sides to pieces...one of my most played albums. My wedding started off with the opening of "And You and I," and we exchanged rings to "Onward."

I don't think I've ever thought of any of their albums as particularly "seasonal", except for maybe associating Close to The Edge with Spring. And of course "South Side of the Sky" is winter. I've grown to like "And You and I", but "Onward" has never really done it for me.

Tormato became my Fall album, as I played it one year on the way up to our fall picnic. Lately I've been loving the daylights out of those first two albums...Harold Land is a really neat song.

I apologized if I offended you I did the art for a group, I really did not think before I posted it. I have removed it from deviant. I do not hold any animosity towards anyone I ask that you forgive me for my stupidity and I hope we can remain friends. If not I do understand.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Talandir In reply to cmerwin6 [2010-06-14 00:34:33 +0000 UTC]

I understand. It's very easy to literally demonize the enemy in any conflict. It's also far too easy to generalize the horrible and completely indefensible actions of a minority of a people to be the fault of that whole people. I give you all the props in the world for your work supporting the troops. I just don't want a legitimate struggle against terrorists to turn into a war of religions and cultures as our enemies want.

cmerwin6 In reply to Talandir [2010-06-14 03:54:10 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for your understanding , I did the piece for a individual for a group he belonged to, I really should have thought twice before posting it. I again apologize for the offensiveness of the piece. I did remove it from the site and also informed the individual that I would not be able to let him have the piece of art as I have not yet sent it to him. Please know I do support our troops not just American troops but all who have sacrificed even the ones in Iraq & Afghanistan that fight against the extremist and fight for what is good and righteous.

Would you be interested in being part of a mini-con on either June 25 or 26 in the Indian Trail/ Monroe area (just east of Charlotte)? Ihave some other great talent lined up- Al Bigley (Sonic, Batman TAS), Marcus Hamilton (Dennis the Menace), Jeremy Dale (GI Joe),John DaCosta (Tom Corbett Space Cadet), Chrissie Zullo (Fabels: Cinderella), and a bunch of other guys including Ben Towle of Winston-Salem and the gang at Sketch Charlotte. This is the big event for our library's summer reading and the kids get a huge kick out of it.
