SO, I was going through my cds the other day since I'm driving a car now without a USB port (Whaaa?? Yeah, rockin it oldschool. how hipster is that?!) and found my "RAUNCHY BLUES: Hot Nuts & Lollipops" Cd, an authentic backwoods swing cd. I bought this with another one, which I can't remember the name of, way back when. And also downloaded the BEST Swing compilation ever and I can't find the name of it now... 1920's Swing: Sexy and something I can't find it now unfortunately. But yeah, I put all of it on my iPod and would listen to it working out thinking, "I am DEFINITELY the only one in here listening to Mildred Bailey singing about her handyman in this gym."
I'll try to find that best swing compilation for you, I listened to it for a good year or so before I lost track of it lol. But beware, the lyrics are definitely not subtle!

Haha, well for one, pretty sure you can't call CDs hipster yet (but not that you can refer to a single thing as being hipster anyways (whatever hipster really is c(X .)) And secondly, I also am forced to listen to CDs in my car . . . since I don't have a car with a cassette player any more. c(X I had a cassette to auxiliary, so I could listen to my phone in my car, can't do that with a CD player. It's funny how in this case it's almost like a CD player is more outdated that than a cassette player.

Hahahah yep, cd players apparently are outdated now. My 2007 toyota corolla (Lola, as I call her) has a 6 disc changer which I thought was AMAZING when I got it. Now, it doesn't have the ever exisitant usb port in most cars so I'm like, "Which cd did I put in where?" lol

Haha . . . (: . . . thank you for the support, it really means a lot to me!! An I DO like my art and it does have meaning for me. The thing about that is anyone can throw down something that has meaning for themselves. In my own head I'm an artist, haha, but things are a lot different in there than out in the real world c( X
I believe a true artist is someone who can produce something that speaks to the rest of the world. My biggest problem right now is getting the ideas from from my head to paper . . . but I'm working on it . . . (:
