# About me
Thinking of the self as phenomena, material, and everything in between, I ask if identity is virtually grounded in a culture system? If so, how do we maintain a connection to our natural bodies? By exploring both analog and digital practices, the self is simultaneously constructed &/or deconstructed in &/or out of bodies, in both physical &/or virtual architectural spaces. This infinite process infuses cybernetic theory, music, art history, and glitch language as catalysts to shift the binary and expose hyphenated human conditions.Tnkrt has always been an alter ego for the artist to explore anonymity in a cyber world. Tnkrt has exhibited her experimental work in over 20 art shows & establishments in Chicago, including the Pilsen Annual Show Pods Exhibition in 2013. She was a vocalist and synth glitcher in Screamship for 5 years, which focused on creating post apocalyptic dance music prose and experimental noise. TNKRT earned her Associates in Film Production from Full Sail University, a Bachelors in Studio Arts from Northeastern Illinois University and recently completed her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was awarded the Shapiro Art Center Graduate Research Fellowship for the year 2017 and currently is working on a Soundscape Video-mation project called "...of the Moon".
