Unfortunately I don't have commissions open at the moment. I sometimes offer them of a sort, but I don't often have time to take them on. Mostly I will get randomly inspired and offer up 'your character here' art pieces to buy/auction, so if that's your thing, that's worth watching for

hello!! I think I've been gone for longer than you, tbh but yeah, I'm still here, I went to Portugal on holidays & to sort out my name change and all that last month, but now i'm back (& jobless at the moment, heh) Just say a time and a place and we'll sort something out

I'm not a big fan of voice chats, to be honest, I'm more of a texting person :/ I've never used discord but if you have whatsapp or something we could chat through there? (or i could stop being a grumpy old man and find out how discord works instead!)

AHHHHHH Your name change is all official then??? Tomas, right? (but with the accent). Just let me know if you decide you want me to use that instead of Pip. Are you back in the UK, was that? (its been way too long and I have a memory like a sieve. Im sure I have a note from you from ages ago that I just didnt get to :/ ) but we should definitely sort something out!

And that's fair enough if you'd rather not do voice chat. Honestly I've never done it before this year at all. The discord I joined for the Maze Runner fandom started out just in the chat but then a few people suggested voice chats and I just sort of fell in with it and had a lot of fun. But it was weird at first and I completely get that its not for everyone. Discord is easy enough to use, I think. Its capable of a lot of stuff but mostly is just an instant message/chat domain - not too unlike dA chat. If I can work it out I'm sure anyone can! But again - I get if you'd rather not go there.

I do have whatsapp though I don't use it too much haha. We could start there though if you want

yeah, it is now! Just need to change a couple things here in the UK (haven't bothered to change the name on the car ownership papers, heh) but otherwise it's all go and I don't mind if you keep calling me Pip, it's all good And yes, I've been here since February, just went to Portugal on holidays to sort everything out. And I have a job now as well, but it's only part-time so we could do something, maybe after Christmas? ('cause everything's crazy at the moment and I'm taking advantage of all the available overtime, heh; I also need to get my car fixed before going on a long trip cause the steering has gone a bit dodgy)

The only sort of voice chat I've done was with Christine when playing Portal, but I generally hate talking on the phone, heh. I just installed discord on my phone, the username is sobreiros if you want to go ahead and add me?

I occasionally run commissions of a type, or have auctions/sales going for commission pieces but most of my art is for me. I don't take requests (there are some things I just have no interest in drawing and other than the occasional gift I charge commission prices). I hope this answers your question and I didnt misunderstand it

Well I meant in the realm of requests, I noticed you have stuff related to vet stuff (animal care) my dream in life is to become a vet, I was hoping you could draw something like that, understand I cant put money on DA I would if I could (my parents think DA is only a porn site) so my account is a secret, If you have to stick to you guns I understand but its hard to find artist who draw vet related things and are flexible , I was just hoping you would make an exception I hope you will take my "situation" to in mind.

sorry for the late reply, its been a busy few days.

I think its great you want to go into a veterinary field but having drawings of that about or not should definitely not deter you from pursuing that dream (also, many art pieces depicting veterinary procedures specifically may not be accurate, so there's that to consider. its often more about impression). And if your parents have doubts about dA, there may be ways to help convince them that is a showcase for all kinds of artists.

Im afraid I dont make exceptions though. Art for me, as it is for many others, takes a lot of time and effort and when its not for personal enjoyment, it is relied on as a form of income. Im sorry you're finding it hard to locate artists who take requests but their choice not to should be respected. Dont let that stop you from the career you want to have though.

but does all vet art have to be accurate? to me it doesnt because does it matter if something "accurate" in a drawing? its a drawing ANYTHING can happen. thats the cool thing about art you can do what ever you want as long as you think its possible, just my opinion.
