Thanks for complement. I will tell you at length sometime how I got to be a cloud painter. There is a reason. If you want to know, ask. Interesting how people get sent in a direction. And yes the community is being welcoming to me.

When I was a child in England we lived in an industrial town near Liverpool. We were in a small house exactly like every other house in the street. The view from my bedroom window was of grimy rooftops and .....Clouds. I watched them for hours. Watching them form into different shapes. Then I came to Canada, the land of huge sky's. I live in a rural part and I can go stand in the fields and have a 360 view of the clouds. This summer was a good summer for thunderstorms and one day I could see 5 different storms going on. I took about 300 photos. They were changing constantly. You see some of the results in my gallery. I put in foregrounds from many locations.

Ah, then I get it. Sometimes, the skies are just too beautiful. And with how it changes all the time, preserving a moment is like catching smoke with your bare hands, yet you manage it.
Where I live, we have lightning storms all summer, and watching them is mesmerizing.
But Canada.. It's such a vast open country. If all goes well I'm moving there in two years, and I'll get to see it for myself.

Your right with your comments. To see the clouds at the best you need to be in Western Canada. Alberta. Where are you thinking of going? Be good to show you around and show you the gallery I deal with and the original work. it sounds like you would be open to encouragement in your art.

I was planning on Vancouver maybe.
I'm thinking of trying to get into the University of British Columbia. But no matter where I end up, I tend to just get in the car and drive all over the place.
And I love looking at art, We don't have to many galleries around here.
