OH No! Michelle, I sent one of your theatre costume designs to #TheatreArtists group and it timed out - just want you to know that you can join and submit your theatre artwork yourself! We'd love to have some of your work for the theatre in our gallery.

My pleasure!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be getting to work on all of those gorgeous Homestuck patterns you were so kind to post. ^^ ...Except for Cal. I might have to burn my machine after sending that thing through it, or risk not being able to sleep soundly.

He.. I.. ...I NEED TO KISS THIS MAN. Stop getting in the way of that!

God, you better not have showed him this.. I will find a way to make you pay, Kaye dear.

There's nothing in the way of kissing him, not if he includes the door. I haven't showed him yet, I figured it should be Michelle approved first. Now it totally has been.

My favorite part of the video was the guy going, "OOOOOHHHHH!!! OOOOOHHH!!"

I saw this awhile ago, but I don't think you saw it, and your pokemanz made me remember it just now: Gary Oak is the good guy.

In the original PokΓ©mon Red/Blue, when you encounter your rival in Lavender Town he asks whether or not you know what it's like to have one of your PokΓ©mon die. At this point in the game, he no longer has his Raticate that he used in previous battles.Your rival battle before this took place aboard the S.S. Anne. Your rival's Raticate sustained serious injuries from the battle...but, because crowding and confusion on the luxury liner, he was unable to make it to a PokΓ©mon Center in time and the Raticate passed away. The real reason your rival is in Lavender Town to begin with is to lay his deceased friend to rest.Despite all of this, your rival never outwardly tells you that you're responsible for the death of his PokΓ©mon. He hides his grief and instead channels that energy into the motivation he needed to continue his quest to become Indigo League Champion. The death of his Raticate effectively destroys your rival's impish, childhood innocence. Although he tells himself that he doesn't hold you responsible, he subconsciously holds a great deal of resentment towards you which further fuels his ambitions.Tearfully swearing upon his Raticate's grave to not fail in what he set out to do, he trains hard in hopes of becoming better than you...defeating you...and to eventually make it to the PokΓ©mon League. Mere moments after he became Indigo League champion, he was defeated...by you. Although he fulfilled his promise to his fallen PokΓ©mon, it was only for a painfully brief instant. In the end, your rival is scolded by his grandfather while you receive the professor's praise. During the course of the game, you steal your rival's innocence, crush his dreams, and ultimately snatch away the love of his own grandfather.

Oh, and by the way, your rival doesn't have any parents. He's an orphan.

No problem! Thanks so much for that shoe cover tutorial! The boots I found for my steampunk costume look great, but are way too tight. I'm going to try this and see if it's possible to get a short, period seeming boot out of a comfortable pair of shoes.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FireLilyCosplay In reply to TehPickle [2010-04-23 19:10:13 +0000 UTC]

In fact, you could just make a pair of spats (period correct boot covers with button closures and elastic on the bottom).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TehPickle In reply to FireLilyCosplay [2010-04-24 03:46:47 +0000 UTC]

I've considered it. In fact, I just worked with spats, in a production of The Importance of Being Earnest; spats were used to cover Cecily's(just posted her to my gallery) woefully modern shoes.

But really, it was a bother, and they didn't look good under scrutiny. I wish I'd seen this idea three weeks ago. I would have tried it to give a more snug and polished cover for her shoes.

FireLilyCosplay In reply to TehPickle [2010-04-24 04:06:04 +0000 UTC]

On the first day, Otto said, "Let there be rocks." and rocks were. Otto separated the rocks according to how they were formed, and saw that it was good. On the second day, Otto said, "Let there be puns" and puns were. Otto then said how gneiss puns were and that those who took them for granite would be basalted. And he saw that it was good.
