Well, that is a pretty creative mind there! I'd a never thought of crossing Derpy with Spitfire and adding your own little quirk to the eyes like you did. I hope to keep seeing more of that little cutie!

Aww, nice to hear I was able to bring a smile to someones face *hugs* but you do deserve the praise for such a well done OC. Even if it is a recolor of Applebloom you certainly made it your own :3

Thank you for your kind words, I still feel I've cheated the system in the creation of my OC but I've seen 'worse' ones out there in my opinion but that's for me alone as everyone has a different opinion.

I've managed to run out of things to say now so I'll just say uhm have a good and see you around.

A lot of that is speculation on Spitfire. She was shown as to why she made LD winglead. It was because she saw she put more effort, energy into wanting to be the best more than RD, by always pushing her limits. Bad story writing aside, LD really did treat RD as an equal. In fact, she took that whole 'unbeatable team' to heart and there is nothing as thrilling as knowing you have a rival taht can keep up with your moves.

LD is RD, to a T, if RD didn't have loyalties to anyone but herself. Re-watch the episode. RD only peer pressured herself into following LD when she clearly knew things were dangerous. It wasn't LD that made RD follow her to catch the flag that only required one pony to grab in that narrow space. She was thinking of how much praise LD got for pushing her limits making herself feel like she needs to be able to keep up. That same selfish desire of not wanting to be seen as weaker or less talented than LD is what drove her to stay shut and agree to LD's stunts.

Yes, LD is reckless. But if your reckless actions kept being rewarded, wouldn't you think that you were doing something right too? RD kept quiet about knocking her friends into the clouds just to be first. RD dove into the pit on her own accord and got hurt for it, LD simply had way too much faith in her rival to notice she was really in pain, likely has had that sort of thing happen to her a lot during her training and figured that if she could get away with that so could RD.

Bitch in sheep's clothing? I believe LD was probably more upfront about her mistakes than anyone. Being a competition where only one pony, possibly two even, would get into the Wonderbolts, and having formed such a tight bond in her own mind with RD (who only ever went along and never spoke her mind about how SHE felt about LD's actions until it was too late).

You can't just go around hating someone who's probably most likely given up more in life than any pony more so than RD, a weather pony (CAPTAIN no less) who knows the risks of things like just randomly making a tornado that requires a ton of wing-power to control, it's mostly an overachiever that thought too highly of herself and RD and thought of nothing but being the best. Pushed on by the fact that Spitfire chose her as lead because she liked her enthusiasm for wanting to join the Wonderbolts.

Now.... onto the BAD writing I *won't* forgive. The main reason I believe why Lauren herself probably passed on this episode. How are you going to have a pony like LD simply stand around and watch ponies fall to their death? Seriously, is she so blind with pride in her and RD's abilities that she thought RD didn't need help catching her friends? She had to know she'd be the only other pegasus able to catch up and help who saw what happened. Or did they simply write her to be so uncaring to actually want to WATCH ponies make a big splat on the ground? It makes me sick to think such a thing could be allowed to be interpreted in a show such as this.

Merrie Weather is one such writer that only ever churns out stupid teenage drama style stories, ruins a perfectly great oppertunity to give Spike character development (Dragon Quest) instead we get teenage dragon bullies and Spike buying into the whole pony master race slave role. Likely won't see him want to look at his heritage anymore due to one bad encounter much how Pinkie had that lingering racist thing going with all Gryphons are guilty till proven innocent in MMMystery episode. M.W. also loves making Ponyville seem like it's inhabited by a ton of douche bag greedy ass ponies (Putting your Hoof Down), no way is Fluttershy so damn heartless as to let out such damning words to her friends. "That no one gives a flying fuck about" to make Rarity feel like shit about her making fashion for ponies that normally never wear cloths.


Back on track. LD was said that she was supposedly not kicked out, simply demoted. Which, makes me hate the episode a tiny bit less. RD is no angel. So many hated RD before because she was essentially as bitchy as LD. At least, if she had friends like RD did, I'm sure they would of also dressed up as super heroes and teach her not to try and be better at something than her friends were and talk so much about it. Gotta love Mare Do Wells important life lessons and how to treat your friends. Thank you Merrie Weather, you're episodes are always so uplifting. /sarcasm

It one thing to show recklessness, it's another to show COMPLETE and utter apathy at such a close called cause by ones action at least she willing to admit that LD doesn't even so much as acknowledge only caring that she crushed the competition, and no offense but she had the option to fly above or below during the weather run (admittedly rd could have pitch that idea as well but that could have enter LD head instead of barging on through.

Pinkie threw that party for Gilda she didn't pull those pranks they were done by RD (Who say they weren't ALL meant for her), all she wanted was to throw a party thinking it might change Gilda mood).

as those MMMYSYTERY ep she accuse all three of those rival chief (And onne was CLEARLY a pony) thinking the saboteur was one that wanted the prize.

when twilight pointed out the flight thing she went to the griffin because it probably wouldn't occured to her that her friends might be the culprit (Since they knew how important that cake was to pinkie) and to be fair she did thought it was rd when she was proven one of the culprit

Who was the one she accused FIRST, and first EVERY time? You don't pay much attention to detail. You also really want to try hard to put LD in a worst light than she was written into. Gilda was the first Gryph she ever met, that bad experienced caused her to being distrusting of Gryphons.

I'm not dancing any issues. You try and put light into things that are mostly subjective by assuming Spitfire had some clever plan, though it was something I was hoping she was up to, it was proven later that it wasn't that deep an episode. Most Merrie Weather ones aren't.

MMMystery, I suggest you r-ewatch it. After watching Gryphon the Brush Off again. You'll see small bits of continuity on what causes Pinkie Pie to be dead set on almost wanting to be right about Gustave. You'll see traces of Gilda's impact on how Pinkie reacts to seeing her SECOND Gryphon.

Back to LD. She's RD. Plain and simple. Only far more overachieving. And the tornado aspect of what she did, if you read what I posted, I am quite sickened by what was allowed to be interpreted in that episode. LD was the only one who could of kept up with the falling ponies. She was pretty open and proud of her actions before, and from her expressions of being finally called out on her recklessness by RD about her friends', LD felt guilt or at least felt like she was being put on the spotlight. LD admitted to it, but brushed it off because no one got hurt.

It's like knowing your friend has a gun. A real gun. He shows it to you. Yet, knowing it's dangerous, you go along with it because he's your friend. Later on, day or two later, he tells you he's upset with the teachers unfairness in school. He invites you to shoot at cups. Cups with names and badly drawn faces out in the woods. Those names match those of people you know in school. You ignore it and go along with it.

Next day, in the news, you hear of a shooting that went on. Turns out your friend, the one you knew was playing around with something dangerous, went to school and shot up his class. Knowing that you could of done something sooner to prevent him from doing such a thing and even taking his own life... is something that would haunt you for life.

Now, why did I go to such extreme context? Because, bottom line, is that RD was essentially in that same position. She was the child that kept going along with her friend's action despite knowing, especially being a CAPTAIN of Ponyville's weather team, she knew the risks. Hurricane Fluttershy alone shows she knows JUST how those work and the rigurous training needed to control that. While on a smaller scale, a twister like what they created, something that wouldn't have been possible without RD, was still a very well known danger. It's second hand murder.

Call it what you will. Pinkie let a past negative experience make her distrusting of Gryphons. Something bad happens and a Gryphon is in the picture some where, you know where her hoof would have pointed first.

RD let her own pressure of wanting to prove she was just as good or better than LD that she blinded herself to allowing LD go on without speaking out against it, instead of meekly suggesting to tone things down.


Sorry if this shatters your glass house world of mane six being innocent and pure. Pinkie has issues. Her character needs more growth. She'll have to grow eventually. Had she not been so overly obsessed with RD and being so bipolar, that whole scenario of plummet to their doom totally avoidable.

I don't know about you but, when is the last time you were allowed to walk in casually into an army base's training course just to say hi? Stray bullet to the head or a practice grenade landing too close to them would only lead to them being at fault for just barging in unannounced.

Lastly, yes, Pinkie accused everyone. That doesn't mean there weren't undertones of small discriminatory acts behind Pinkie's actions.
