1P Japan:

A shy, quiet and hard-working man, Japan doesn't know very much about the outside world and needs time to adjust to other people. But he's very curious and interested in learning things from other nations. He is quite and earnest, but is a bit stubborn. His distinct island customs may seem mysterious to others, although he finds them perfectly normal. He tends to have the behavior of an "old man" and was a hikikomori for a long time (Japan had spent about 250 years in isolation keeping only contact with Netherlands). Though he appears to be horrified at the idea of nudity or intimate contact, he has erotic woodcuts in his possession, which he tries to hide secretly between his non-erotic books and was said to be very comfortable with nudity in the past. Japan also voiced his preference for 2D girls over 3D girls to England, Greece, and France in one strip, hinting that he has an otaku side. His otaku side is further shown when he decides to buy a Shonen Jump magazine in his preparations for the New Year.

2P! Japan:

2P! Japan is a bit of a loner. He doesn't give people warning when he becomes angered. When angered, he prefers the most painful and lethal way to hurt you, or, in other cases, kill you. 2P!Japan has an unhealthy obsession with dangerous and often times spiky things, sometimes going as far as disregarding his own safety to cuddle it. He’s particularly fond of cockroaches, and seems to have hordes of them living in the walls of his house (One reason to never visit him at his home). 2P! Japan is incredibly paranoid and doesn't trust anyone. Ever. He seeks a voracious knowledge of everything around him in order to predict how and when his enemies will attack him and how to counter it, and he never turns his back on anyone. His constant paranoia leave him fairly irritable and suspicious of everyone, quick to anger and accusation. When he slips into his incredibly calm state he is at his most lethal and terrifying, because that signifies he has his opponent completely figured out and is completely secure in his odds of winning.

'Ultimate good' sat on a bench, drinking hot chocolate and smiling brightly. His eyes glittered, there were bishi sparkles hovering around his head. His fire-red hair was just as fluffy as always, nearly looking like a lion's mane, and was extremely soft looking. His sparkling, emerald green --with red pupils -- eyes stared at his hot chocolate, in which was being held by his large, red gauntlets. He was as tall as a toddler and could easily be mistaken for a little girl or doll. It was nearly Christmas and he was outside, trying to think of anything but his master having kicked him out of his house and yelling at him for everything that had happened in his life, that happened to be bad, and then, to top it off, telling him to never come back.

He glanced around and adjusted his scarf more tightly; he always hated being too cold. He then took notice to a particular fluffy looking smudge of red in the distance. His eyebrows furrowed as he thought what could it possibly be. He stood still for a few moments until finally hastening his stroll. He then found himself right behind the other, his hands wavering over the other's hair. He felt greatly tempted to play with his hair. "N-No... This isn't proper... I-I shouldn't do this..." He thought, quivering. Suddenly, his inner otaku beat him and soon you had a Japanese man groping the guy's hair; not an everyday sight.
