Normally I would say: Who cares what other ones think of my art? But I am NOT at my home terretory in my Literature and Art Forum in Germany.
No, being on VCL or DA surroundet by people who speak a language I rarly know, makes me feel a bit fearfull - hmm fearfull is the wrong word but I dont know the opposite of "safe" ... unsafe?
Yes and then Someone comes and throws slang words on me ... more was not needet to make me flee or fight and I am not a person who will ever flee ...

Yeah I saw the whole thing on VCL, but I didn't get involved, because I wasn't registered there. And yeah I can see how that would hurt your feelings.
What I didn't think was cool, was continuing the argument, which I've said before, and don't need to keep on about. The whole thing was kinda childish.
As an artist, I know I've had my art called bad stuff before and you know what I learned? Shake it off, who are you doing the art for? Them or yourself? Don't let what anyone tells you, get you down, keep drawing/painting/computer animating, whatever. If it makes you happy, go for it, man!

I was crushed when I learned that the original Everclear trio broke up and for awhile I had a thing at the end of my journal that said: RIP Everclear, my most faithful band. Because they were my favorite band going on like 5 years but now I've moved on to Hoobastank and so I mourn their break-up no longer. Though it still makes me sad.

Everclear was great. But it is like an end of an era. I'm sure that their new stuff is just as good. But I loved the original group, including David and James and that other guy whom I can't remember is name. And I don't care what you think of Hoobastank, as long as their lyrics and music gets me through days like EC's, then they are just as good as EC. Of course I'll never get the same feelings like driving into the sun with "I wish I could go out into that Oregon sun" playing on the radio, or listening to "Nehalem" in Nahalem or "Summerland" in Summerland, "Santa Monic" in Santa Monic. But that's okay. Like I said, I don't care, it works for me.
