Yes! He's arguably the most badass character in any series I've read, and I love that so many characters in the book still think he's a total fool. Can't wait for the surprise they've got coming in the last book. I've just decided to start a new painting of him putting the smackdown on the gholam. Can't wait to get started!

That sound great! And yes, Mat is a bloody fool. Blood and bloody ashes, he IS the biggest and most hilarious fool I've ever read about and I read quite frequently. I love to read while he's with Tuon. Only in the 6th through 10th or so books the action really slowed. There are so many people with their point of view shown that action slows to a crawl. I hope you start your drawing soon. I can't wait to see the end result!

Yeah, the action slowed in the last few books, but I like that it gave Mat and Tuon a chance to just get to know each other. They're so cute (in a kind of worrisome, dangerous way ...). I really hope Mat gets a lot of PoVs in the last book, but I'm not so sure it's going to happen. Still, he's bound to have his moments.
I suppose he is a fool at that ... hell, maybe next I'll paint the look on Elayne's face when she's reading that letter he sent her

Finish it soon! Half the time it seemed that I just read so I could read about Mat. I would go forward in the book and mark where his PoV was and squirm until I read it. I also hope he gets more! The first and maybe the second I didn't really care for Mat. But Mat grew on me. I have a lot of books I need to read now. But talking about The Wheel of Time makes me want to read them. I lately went to quite a few used bookstores and bought about twenty used books. (They were cheap,good condition, and great looking stories) Also, I went to the library recently and checked out some books. What's your favorite couple besides Mat and Tuon?

I know the feeling! Whenever I finish one of Mat's sections, I always mark off the next one. If it's over 100 pages away I get really frustrated. Still, I think Perrin and Rand have really improved in the last two books, so I don't mind reading their PoV's as much anymore. Second favorite couple? Probably Rand and Min.
I finished that painting btw (for better or worse ...) and will upload tomorrow if not tonight

Yes, I greatly dislike when his section is about 200 pages away. I'm mad enough to could chew iron nails. Oh, well. I'll keep a look out for the picture. I was thinking of drawing Mat's try piece. A fox startling ravens into flight.

yep, the stress of waiting for Mat's next chapter is almost as bad as the stress of waiting for the next book
