Hiding comments is not forcing anybody to do anything; they already left the comments and it certainly doesn't stop them from leaving thanks for favorites on mine or other artists' pages.

Hiding comments is a bit kinder than what I used to do, which was inform folks that I would report them for spam if they thanked for faves, and when they left thanks for faves anyway, I'd report them for spam. Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug Shrug

You all are welcome for favorites, but please don't post thumbs or links of things I've favorited on my profile; this is not a free ad space. In fact, you don't have to thank me at all; the time spent going to someone's page to thank them for subjectively liking your art could be better spent looking at someone else's art and giving feedback that will help them grow.
