We celebrate the ancient and modern forms of Celtic knotwork, keywork, and spirals. Knotwork can be applied to all visual arts including painting, drawing, digital art, carving, sculpture, jewelry, leather work, and textiles.We welcome all artists who incorporate knotwork into their art, be they accomplished knotwork artists or newcomers hoping to learn how to create these amazing designs. Anyone can become a member and share their art through this group. Anyone, including non-members, can suggest favorite artwork that incorporates knotwork into the piece.
Together we can share, learn, inspire, and enjoy the many shapes of knotwork, Celtic of course, and also Nordic, Antique and modern style.

Each group has its own administrators who decide what is and is not accepted to the group.Β In our case, J-LE7 is stepping in as co-founder to get the group moving again.Β

Not sure I understand your question...
Here is roughly the process about the content:
- an artwork is proposed by a member of the group,
- it is accepted (or not) by the group (according its settings: automatically or manually),
- if the one who proposed the artwork is not the artist, the artist has to accept his artwork to be shown in the group.
About the overall group display, it depends a lot on how the Admins see the group subject and how they want to give the best promotion of the artists work.
groups have several tools the Admins have to imagine how to use them (for instance the journal or the favorites) for the group to be useful.
When there is a human intervention, there is always a part of subjectivity.
Being as factual as possible helps avoiding issues.

I am looking for an artist that can catch the magical connection betwixt a Longdog and the pursuit of a Hare.

I need a little bit of help...
I want a Celtic/knotted ram head as a tattoo. But I just can't think of a good design x.x
I would be glad if anyone of you could make a knotted ram head, could be even a rough scetch. It would help me a lot!

Knotwork is rather time intensive and specialized art. Β If you are serious, I would suggest seeking out a knotwork artist who takes commissions and paying for a design, or finding a tattoo artist who is proficient with knotwork and commissioning the design as part of the tattoo process.

It depends upon the artist. Β You'd have to contact individuals who are taking commissions and ask them their current rates.

I'm sorry for the brief delay. Β It happens from time to time since I'm the only admin and I'm not always online due to chronic illness. Β Do not worry. Β I log in at least once every two weeks (usually every few days) and go through the submissions.

uh... the contest in this journal finished ages ago... is anybody there?....

The contest was never finished. There were barely any submissions, and I found it was terribly problematic to run a contest without the tools available only to groups with a subscription.
That aside, I have been absent for a week or two periodically as I am dealing with chronic illness, so if you had the impression that the group is occasionally unmanned, the impression was correct. I'm about to alter the length of time before submissions expire, to help prevent that problem in the future. So far I have been able to catch up with submissions when I am on DA, and I have been contemplating activities to add to the group when I am further along in treatment and have more energy, and if I can ever afford to give the group a subscription I would love to hold contests again. For now, though, I've been running it with a focus just on member art sharing.
