Oh yeah i already signed in. Hey you dont sell your course books and dvds on like amazone or something right? Maybe a How-To-Draw book?

Yes, we do sell the correspondence course books and DVDs on Amazon. We believe you can also get Joe Kubert's other how-to-draw books on Amazon, too.
As another suggestion, The Kubert School Art Store has lots of how-to-draw books available, including ones from Joe Kubert as well as other prominent artists. Here's a link: www.kubertartstore.com/books/
Just remember, any other how-to-books you get won't include assignments (like our correspondence courses have) that you can do from your home anywhere in the world and send to us that get critiqued by our staff of professional cartoonists. Having your work critiqued by pros is an amazing and unique opportunity that will definitely help you improve your drawing abilities!

We understand how you feel about wanting to draw and to work on our correspondence courses. Unfortunately, we cannot offer these courses for free. However, we can suggest that you continue to draw and practice on your own. Study from art anatomy books. Copy the work of artists and cartoonists you admire. And, most importantly, keep on drawing!

Hello, I have a few questions.
I'm referring to your three year course. The students at your school, how strong are their senses of anatomy when they start? I was also curious about how strong your typical student's sense of style is. I understand students going there leave more than ready for a career in comics, and I'm not at that level, but I draw daily and I'm practicing. I'm really interested in your school and hope to make it in a couple of years.
Thank you.

Sorry, we didn't see your message until now. In reply to your question, the criteria for acceptance into our school is based on several factors. Ability is one, but this is NOT the most important factor. Desire and motivation are more important, by far. Chances for professional success are more possible for one who shows high motivation.
Therefore, the decision for acceptance or rejection is not a simple one, nor does it depend purely on artistic ability.

Hi Kubert School!
I have a little question.
I know that each correspondence course has a duration of 18 months. Is it 18 months from when you buy the course or 18 months from when you start?
For example, say I buy the heroes and superheroes course now but don't start until this time next year, does this mean I will have 6 months to complete the course or 18 months from when I start the course which would be this time next year?
Thank you and Kind regards, Cynthia.

TheKubertSchool In reply to CynCinzia [2015-03-02 21:07:13 +0000 UTC]
Hey, Cynthia. The 18 month duration is only a guideline. If you can only begin your course next year, that would be fine. We totally understand if you have prior obligations. Just keep in touch with us. Remember, the purpose of these correspondence courses is to enjoy yourself while learning this form of art along with the guidance of our staff of professional cartoonists.

Just got the last four correspondence courses, started by working on Heroes and Super Heroes, couldn't believe the first lesson is actually a much more detailed lesson in proportion than the lesson two of "Anyone can Draw-Joe Kubert's Corner" from "Dynamite" magazine. using them both to work out my anatomy and make it better, I actually can tell where I have been making mistakes just from working on this first basic lesson. I know these courses are going to help me tremendously. I recommend them to anyone who may not be able to attend the school. I also want to thank the "Kubert School" customer service staff for their assistance and professionalism.

The most amazing thing about the man was that when so many other artist work degrades as they age. Mr. Kubert's never did. The man never loss his chops. For a profession as exhausting as making comic art and teaching, that is truly impressive. You will be miss Joe.
See you some other time...
