Oh of course! Absolutely! I ask permission first, so you'd always know that something might be in the works. My pieces take anywhere from 10β50 hours, depending on size and detail and whether or not I'm trying to learn something new. It can be spread over weeks or months though before something's finished. But if/when I do choose you as reference material, expect to hear from me!
