You failed to address my question. Do you not see that you saying "We do not need reality." is precisely why ED has the ideals it shows on it's articles. I didn't ask what ED says in relation to dA or anything about any truth in it's articles on dA or it's users.

One can exaggerate it by going to lengths to describe what we mean by "We do not need reality"; only explaining the worst of us. By "We do not reality", I do not by any means mean that I am rejecting reality. I don't bury myself in anime or praise to escape reality; in fact, I don't do it at all. What I mean is that:
This is an art community, not a drama center or somewhere to talk about the real world. It's art, not a bunch of teenage drama whores. (They ARE there, but they're not the focus, despite what you may think.) It's an art community, I like it, and no one who's going to talk about how we're rejecting reality is going to make me quit. So what I say is this: I am not going to change my views, you are not going to change yours. Let's keep it at that.

You say that dA is an art community, and in the past, that might have been true. However, there are individuals that you may not know about that prompt my statment that dA used to be an art community.
A few are:
EnchantsRequiem, CaptainJamesman, August Yifu, SlyFoxMaren, Branca, and, of course, Chris-chan.
These people and many, many others ARE cancer, and have turned this site into a shadow of it's former self. And they ARE they focus, because if they aren't handled swiftly and allowed to gain credibility, then they become a stain on the site.
There are, simply put, more terrible "artists" than good ones. And I refuse to give them the title of artist because they do not deserve it. To be an artist is something I can not describe, for I have no idea what it means to be one, but I know what isn't one, based on the only person I can relate to, and that is myself.
