I went to A-Kon that day and I sent that pic to my friends so why not put it as
my profile pic on my info. I think i'll change it when I go back to A-Kon since
I'll be cosplaying as Bacterial Contamination/Nehanshika Gakupo, Grell Sutcliff,
Electric angel Len, and 707 from mystic messenger but I think ill just be taking pics of my cosplay and putting
it on deviantart since I think that my Aoba cosplay pic is too good and stuffs

Yea, I think your going to like the cosplays, I'm a little nervous about the Gakupo cosplay since I will be making the whole outfit and also I don't know how I'm going to make the Bacterial contamination arm but I'm going to try my best and also I'll also be cosplaying as Viktor from Yuri on ice since I love that show too much

but the arms for bacterial contamination.... hell, i'd be panicking over the legs
too, I wouldn't even know where to start! but in regards to the arms....
the only advice i can give is, maybe make it outta Insta Morph or some other moldable plastic??
its very finicky and hard to handle though, and i haven't checked the prices lately but its super sturdy!
moreso than foam or paper mache alone.
maybe..... coat foam in a thin layer of plastic, allowing for light weight, cheap, and detailed arms?
but i've never tried it, so don't listen to me ><;

That's some good advice for me. I don't think that doing the legs would be a pain but It's a good thing i'll only be making one arm
I think I might do this to make it easier but I'm going to be making the arm piece by piece so then it would be easier and not a pain to put it on all on one piece.
The sad thing is that there are no tutorials on how to make it so i'm going to have to play a game of succeed or fail
I'm hoping that it's going to turn out great and I think I might add in some loose wires aka bungee cords to give it more of a creepy
look but I do want to keep the design of Gakupo ^^

Thank you for the luck! I'm going to need it and I hope I won't
stress out about making some of the cosplay's because it's going to be my first
time making cosplay clothes because I want to save money, I hope that things
will turn out how I want them to and I hope that I will stay alive while making them since it will probably take forever.

my advice for a lot of those clothes, if you make from scratch; go to all the good wills and salvation army stores you can find before buying anything at an outlet store! a pair of white sweats, white shirt, fabric marker and buttons is all i used to make a GianCarlo cosplay
i once bought ciels outfit (accept for the jewelry and wig) at a salvation army for like $25. best. day. ever.
winter break is so close too, hopefully Christmas money from relatives will keep you from being poor for too long
(i just spent like $100 on books, so i'm hoping grandma is generous this year lol)
but seriously, second hand stores are your new best friend. buy a cheap wig and get your hairstylist to make it look like a million bucks
(my hair guy styled my wig for free, so it couldn't hurt to have them at least check it out )

cool! I usually buy pre styled wigs on Amazon so I won't have to do all the styling myself and also
I think I might have to buy some of the cosplays on amazon since I don't know how to make clothes but i'll definitely make the bacterial contamination gakupo outfit since I have to make it look decent and not too eh....I don't know how to describe it so let's just say not too exposing so yeah that's that
and my winter break is so close! I have 3 school days left! I can't wait for Christmas!

oooh, trying to hide the boobs when wearing cosplay is like keeping kittens in a bathtub. i feel ya struggles, i feel ya.compression shirts and sports bras are the way to go! accept.... if bare chested, then lots of tape? maybe clear fishing wire to keep the shirt from flying open in the wind? invisible and strong, so it should do a good job of keeping the garment together

man, i wish i could afford to buy everything like that, my cosplay wardrobe would probably be in much better shape!
took me like a month (because i procrastinate like no ones business) to color all the stripes for Gians outfit.
coulda saved all that effort if i stopped being a tightwad and just forked over the $50 for something online.
but that makes to much sense and is too logical, so i chose to suffer instead lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
that being said, i can't wear a cosplay without tailoring it first.
my body is so tiny and the clothes are so large that by the end it's full of darts and seams.
also, ya know how people say "our cosplays are 100% authentic" well my cosplays are 50% tape and safety pins

lol that is true and I know how you feel about the whole affording the cosplay since last year when I cosplayed as aoba, I was going to make the jacket but then I saw on amazon that there was one so I got it along with a belt that I had to spray paint blue and the wig. It was fun being aoba because there were other aoba's there. Sadly I don't have the jacket anymore because the buttons broke off but it was a great memory to have ^^

say..... do you have any advice for cosplay makeup? i looked up
some tutorials on the..... um, bishie face? lol
but i don't have any experience with makeup! i have really sensitive skin,
and as you know, not much money! sensitive skin makeup can be pricey...
and unlike clothes, theres not much of a second hand, salvation army, DIY
alternative so what brands do you use? i can't ask anyone around me,
i swear they all know zero about makeup too!
(especially not how to make yourself up like a boy....)

Well when I did my Aoba cosplay my mom helped me out since I can't do makeup right but basically what I did was that I looked at Aoba's eye and did the shape with liquid eyeliner then I added blue and gold eyeshadow and that's what I did with my eyebrows. What I did for my eyebrows is that I took concealer over my eyebrows and I think I added blue eyeshadow to give that anime effect and I added mascara to my eyelashes to give off more of an anime effect. That's all I did for my cosplay and I'll keep on doing what I did for my other cosplays. I wish I could tell you what brands I used but sadly I can't remember

all the tutorials i watch either have brands that will turn your face to pizza
or they empty your wallet for a pinky sized vial of goo that i don't even know how to use!
makeup is hard..... and i don't think my mom likes me crossplaying very much
since every time i ask for her help she doesn't really say anything :/
i just have to blindly follow whatever the internet tells me i guess and hope it works out
Christmas is in a few days!! i wished for an Old Xian art book
but decided amazon could deliver it faster than santa and it came in the mail today and i cried
