I'm at uni in norwich, taking political science- got a magic plan to make everything right with the world. Got a window you can look right through, and its opening wider all the time. Just started doing art again after a period of absence, spent £50 on pens, they're amazing though, made my own t-shirt its easy when you know how. What you up to?

Still at uni, but doing a masters in software engineering. I've been madly applying for graduate jobs and I've got an interview with RM next week. Other than that: still writing, still gaming, still fencing. I now own six swords and am in the process of writing a story about demons.

That's me up to speed. Political science, eh? Is that following the rule that anything with the word "science" in the title isn't one? You still loved-up with the Lib Dems or are you deserting after their behaviour in the coalition?

Ahem I was never 'loved up' with the lib dems as you so put it. I worked for them briefly and that experience put the nail in the coffin for mainstream politics as far as I'm concerned. That was many years before the betrayal. Of course there was no reason to think they wouldn't do what every other party has done which is make so-called pledges to get into office and then only enact them if it is politically expedient to do so. I actually witnessed this process on a smaller scale at the lib dem office, it happens every day in every constituency- promises are made and promises are broken. The behaviour of the politician mimics the behaviour of the sociopath. If you want a story about demons, look at what goes on in parliament... hmmm...
As to whether what I do is science or not, I'm about to submit a paper where we test out some particular conditions in an experimental environment. I'll put it up on here, you might find it interesting with your scientific background. Good to chat to you again, hope the interview goes well.
