It's rare when my life isn't hectic nowdays
But when I get a free second, I'm serious about the contest!
We'll call it...um...Shoot the Rainbow. No, wait, that's kind of morbid. Hm.
Whoever likes can judge I'd vote against myself, so who knows

Question...is the striped section of your hair your actual hair, or a clip-on or something piece?

Wow, that's great. You must have patience and a steady hand.
Well, I've seen sections about that wide at Hot Topic and the like, and I know people will dye fake sections custom. Kind of a clip on I guess, maybe a sew-in extension? Kind of a one-inch flavor shot for your hair.
But it's way more awesome that you did it yourself.

Ehh, everyone here hates it because of how they "box up a subculture." Pft, whiners. They have some cool stuff.

Of course, I'm a Burton art fanatic too. A lot of my drawings and art ideas are inspired by his art. He's a GOD.
Teehee, well I saw your name and was like "EEEEE The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy!" Mind you, The Staring Girl was one of my favourite stories in the book.

Woot XD he's fantastic! I love his early drawingfs of Edward Scissorhands. I bet Sweeny Todd will be Amazing!
I mean, his style, frankly, is so origional to him, and that's the great part XD

Yeah! I have the special edition of Edward Scissorhands so it has the drawings in the special features. So cool.
His style is so inspiring. I remember watching Nightmare Before Christmas when I was a wee little girl. I loved it then and I still do and it still inspires me so much.

I loved nightmare before christmas, i got it when i was 3/4 so i totlaly grew up being dark lol. It is such an inspiration, from its styalisation down to the fact it's hand animated which is hardly done now.
I remember drawing Edward as a kid...i'll have to find those out sometime XD
Who else do you like?

Yeah I remember as a kid I loved to draw (very very BAD) Jack and Sally drawings and a lot of my work had the curls and designs that are all over that movie. Now that I've actually grown up enough to see the art in the movie, and the fact that it really paralleled my theme for my IB Higher Art class (the relationship between beauty and ugliness, where I used a lot of Tim Burton's work as an example of considerably unattractive characters which end up charming and adorable despite them being, well, dead or rotting corpses haha.), it's such a massive inspiration in my work.
I'm currently in the process of colouring a drawing I did which was inspired by HR Giger and Luis Royo. I basically combined my drawing style of disproportional figures with Giger-esque and Royo-esque aspects. I'm currently stuck on colouring the wings and it's a REAL pain since I made them really detailed! >_<
