It really is! Yeah, special effects artists compete against each other in weekly challenges. The winner receives $100,000, a brand new car and $25,000 worth of makeup. The winner of the past season went on to doing makeup work on new movies coming out like The Hunger Games.
If you ever get the chance to watch it, I really recommend you do! It's great seeing how they work and what they come upw ith.
