Because I saw yours, I might! I've listened through the books very recently and my head is spining with the awesomeness that is that world, and the character of Sabriel. And your great work was so inspiring! The attention to detail, the way you made it real rather than merely "looking okay". I've nae really done cosplay before but, if nothing else, the entire outfit is so marvellous.
And I love embroidery. So I might go the stupidly ambitious way ^,^;;; Or do a variant of yours, laying the groundwork with some sort of paint.

Cool! Β Ya, it's something you can really pour alot of energy into, and get something amazing back. Β The surcoat of silver keys is soo unique, people can recognize it immediately. Β And because it's from a book, you can put your own spin on it! Β 
I listened to "Sabriel" on audiobook... OMG is Tim Curry amazing! Β I didn't see if he narrates the other books too... Β His Mogget voice is soo fabulous. Β Β

That is very true indeed! And effort put into something usually yields such satisfying results. The whole world of the Old Kingdom books has such depths that are only gleaned, and I am thoroughly fascinated by it. A cosplay allows one to delve just that little bit deeper into it, too! And your bell-bandolier was an inspiration all on its own - pitch perfect, truly. It is mentioned that it is a bit unwieldy, in the books, but that Sabriel has gotten used to it, and yours really looks like that. Somewhat unwieldy, thoroughly practical and usable, and something that's just a part of an outfit you wear when you're an Abhorsen (or a necromancer), something important that is part of who you are and your appearance every day.
He really, really is! And oh yes, he does the other books too... The way he voices Mogget was one of the things that really, really caught me when I first started listening. His voicing badguys, too, is especially nice.
