[rant] Where Did The Love Go?
One thing I have always loved about the deviantART Community, is the profound willingness to spread love and support around like free candy. Everyone has always been so excited and motivated to render positive feedback. When someone is depressed, the love pours out. When someone needs encouragement about their art, the love pours out. The genuine love and support. Not the fake "oh don't worry things will get better" false sense of hope bullshit. But the honest, heart-felt, authentically expressed kindness, compassion and empathy.
Lately, this aspect of deviantART which I've always loved, seems to be a dry well -- and its not just limited to deviantART. It is as if the entire planet is in a state of apathy and self-loathing at the moment. People bitch about themselves, about others, about Hillary, about Trump -- and don't get me wrong: nothing wrong with being in a bad mood sometimes and nothing wronΒ
