I just realized that you seem to be the only person who actively comments on anything I do anymore.

Odd, I thought that there'd be more than just me. I mean, I can understand it in regards to CA5, Am and Lolo... but Lizard? Tmaneea? Herald? I could've sworn that they'd at least say something when it comes to a topic in their speciality. As for me, I'm more of a generalist. I dabble in a while field of things, but it isn't comprehensive enough to cover everything and there's not a lot of depth to what I tend to say.

sonicinterface In reply to Touma-the-Wolfdog [2018-09-05 20:50:45 +0000 UTC]

I think the hitch is that I, too, am a generalist, so my tastes overlap with yours much more than they overlap with anyone else's.

More or less. There's a few discrepancies, but I'd say there's a number of overlapping points.

Lizard is a busy person, and as a result is on very sporadically.Β  I see activity from him, like, once or twice a week.Β  T doesn't seem to comment on my work much, but maybe that's just because I haven't done much worth commenting on.Β  Herald... I keep forgetting about; I have no idea what his deal is.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to sonicinterface [2018-09-05 21:21:41 +0000 UTC]

Okay, that makes sense. If Lizard is busy, there's nothing which can be done unless you're living with him. T seems more like a psychologist as he tends to respond to anything to do with your psyche and often talks about ways to improve it with tips and ideas. As for Herald, I can't say much, but he either likes Awakening given he's referenced it or knows a bit about the Fire Emblem series.

Sorry to be contacting you so suddently, Im glad youre still around altough we never actually where introduced or talked much... Has Cayd been around? or you have a way of contacting him? I dont see much activity in his DA....

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to omy-kun [2018-06-30 02:21:55 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I’m not much of a socialist. I tend to keep to myself and just observe things. I think we had a brief moment when both of us complained about the β€˜no’ punch being deleted. But that could’ve been someone else. As for Cayd... I dunno, I haven’t heard from him in months.

To be honest, he usually replies to my notes within three weeks and that’s the only means I have of contacting him.

Me neither, I'm not the best at socializing ; I... think we had a moment like that. o.o My memory is not the best but Im pretty sure. orΒ  maybe in one of Cayd's journals about something else.

I see o.o thank you greatly for the info, last time i heard of him he wasn't doing too good... I was starting to talk to him again sorta and the i got cat. 5 stormed and was out of communication for months also DA on the phone is tacky to work with :/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to omy-kun [2018-06-30 02:41:52 +0000 UTC]

No worries. Say, have you tried asking Vani? I think she’s another person who Cayd might’ve talked to. And yeah, I tend to remember weird things like that, but not too many details.

I last spoke to him back in January, he also told me that he wasn’t well, but I suspected that he had a cold or something since I had one back then.

I think they should rework the app, it’s too difficult to navigate through things like people’s profiles and galleries compared to using a computer.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

omy-kun In reply to Touma-the-Wolfdog [2018-06-30 02:53:23 +0000 UTC]

Vani? No, I havent. Wait wait Is that Amaramis? I know she changed her DA account or name but i cant remember what it was

I see o.oΒ

Yeah, also last time i used it you couldnt really access the notes :/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to omy-kun [2018-06-30 03:03:38 +0000 UTC]

No, Amaramis had already left DA a long time ago. She changed it to Tori-the-sand-cat or something, but that account has been deactivated. Vani was the nickname for Vanilla Twilight something...

The app used to do stupid things. Like closing down whenever I was reading one of his notes.

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to Midnight-Glimmer [2017-03-27 03:48:28 +0000 UTC]

Odd. I've usually had that happen to me and chalked it up to a brief server crash and managed to send them again after either resetting the browser or sending a fresh note. Try doing those things and I'll see if there's another reason why those notes are being blocked.

...Try checking the name on the notes. For some reason, when the server crashes as you're trying to send a note, it deletes the name of the sender. I've had that happen to me a few times and only fixed it by retyping who it should've gone to.

To be honest. It's getting very hard to do these. I don't find the videos very interesting and there's not much I can say without questioning things. The game itself is like marmite, you either like it or you don't and I'm in the latter.

Lolocator In reply to Touma-the-Wolfdog [2016-12-30 00:05:08 +0000 UTC]

This is akward to say. But even I admit the game is rather lackluster. The thing is I have to persist and say that its well worth all the watching for its ending. Everything changes. Its tone, the style even. I won't force you obviously. But I hope perhaps you change your mind.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to Lolocator [2016-12-30 21:48:28 +0000 UTC]

Which ending? The game seems to have more than one. Also, I've at least seen the section from where Dr. Alphys 'helps' you against the Metatron robot to the true ending and a non-true ending from watching them in the reverse order. But honestly, I've lost interest after the Sans and Papyrus situation was resolved and I didn't feel too inclined to proceed from there. It felt like I had gone from flying through the air to crashing into the ground. To sum up some future comments:

Lisa Simpson? Is that you? - Seeing Dr. Alphys
This robot is a jerk! - Metatron
Wow! A dancing robot who's got the moves! - Metatron fight
Dance on, knight from Monty Python! - Metatron fight
That robot is amazing! -After Metatron fight
*spittake into laughter* A Tsundereplane? Really?
Oh god... *laughters* Even the blushing makes it cute!
Heya Sans! Long time no see!
EXecution Points?
Level Of ViolencE?
This guy's showing us no mercy. - Pre-final boss fight
I'm not gonna sleep for at least a week... - Flowey Final boss fight
Shout outs to FaceBook, where this video deserves a like and a comment!
Stop accidentally loading the save states, DT!
I'm more into scrambled eggs than fried... Prefer jokes to yolks.
Are you kidding me?! This thing will not go down?!
Finally! That overgrown weed has been uprooted!
Why are you showing it mercy?
No seriously, why are you showing it mercy?
Huh?
Are you... showering this thing in mercy?
Wow... that was surprisingly effective.
Saving people instead of the game... I've never seen that happen like this.
Surely you remember me?
I'm not as bad you seem to think I am.
*snicker*
There's one more?
*chuckles* Good one, Toriel.

These are some of the comments I'd have made after watching those videos, and while I'm unlikely to go back and view them and comment. I'm at least sharing all of the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

One thing I was thinking of doing was a journal of my journey through Alola on the latest Pokemon game, but I'm not too sure about how to go about it. There's a friend on mine on here who I'm trying to avoid spoiling about the game, but where's the fine line between detailing all the fun and neat new things without spoiling everything?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lolocator In reply to Touma-the-Wolfdog [2016-12-31 12:17:33 +0000 UTC]

Is pokemon pretty much all the same thing. It changes and has different ways about it but its pretty much still a game about beating the elite however many and beating a bunch of weirdly dressed pokemon thieves with far-fetched plans. I dont see the appeal anymore.

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to Lolocator [2016-12-31 12:50:49 +0000 UTC]

Sounds like you didn't see anything about this generation. Nor have you played Yokai-Watch and witnessed what it has done to force a complete overhaul of the 7th Generation games.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lolocator In reply to Touma-the-Wolfdog [2017-01-01 00:55:29 +0000 UTC]

I agree there have been many, many changes. but all in all it still goes the same kind of way. I'd like a pokemon game where there are no gyms, no elliot 4, or colourful secret team stealing pokemon. I were to play it I'd want a entire change on the whole formula and strutcher. How they could do that and still keep it fun is hard I cant lie, but that's what art is meant to be, its taking huge leaps into the unknown. Although Pokemon does make huge changes, it still keeps to the same forumula. so to me its like eating the same food but with different spice.Β

I want different food, not different spices. I mean look at zelda for a exsample, they are taking a massive leap into the unknown by making there first ever super open world with rpg elements, and a entirerly new focus without gannadorf.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to Lolocator [2017-01-01 14:01:36 +0000 UTC]

Then how about trying the Mystery Dungeon series? Or Pokemon Snap? Is it still the same food because it has Pokemon in the title?

The Legend of Zelda series has had a long history of doing exactly what your example of why Pokemon games are bland. With the first innovative title I've heard of was "a Link between world". And while an open world with RPG elements sound new to you, but to me, it feels like something which will be ripped off from other games with the same idea. Also, unless the creator has written or stated that Ganondorf will not make an appearance, he will at the last minute because that is how the character operates. He's not the main villain who kicks off the events of the game, he's the man standing behind the main villain who puppeteers the latter.

But in the end, we are two different people with likes and dislikes to different things.

Didnt say zelda was better, im just saying its now taking steps in the direction of ingenuity. Those other games are spin offs both of which I have played and loved. I wish they made more like that actually. I have no complaints against how nentendo sell their games. They are genius that cater towards both types of audience that like either something completely new or a similar game with similar mechanics for those that like familiarity. I for one take to the risky new ones, its just a preference.

Touma-the-Wolfdog In reply to Lolocator [2017-01-01 14:40:10 +0000 UTC]

It is with Hyrule Warriors and the upcoming game. Though I'm not too familiar with the franchise. I've played Twilight Princess once on my friend's Wii, but I got hopelessly lost in the water temple.

With Sun and Moon, most of the bigger changes have been subtle. You could say that the trial captains are like gym leaders, but how they work is completely different. Heck, a lot of people thought Lillie was one of the rivals in the game or she's a legendary Pokemon disguised as a human.

What's your stance on crossover games? Where one franchise mixes elements from their games with elements from another franchise or game. I've played a few of them and they're pretty good.
