Biologist with a Master's Degree on Conservation Biology, and specialized in Ornithology.Most of the photographs I upload here were taken during fieldwork and some others during my family vacations, and from time to time I include other random things that pick my interest. I also like to draw, but my sketching bouts occur too far apart to be considered consistent.
My favorite hobbies include photography, drawing, reading, and videogames.

I haven't read the book myself, but I agree that at least movie Bilbo is very cute (how could he not, he's Martin Freeman

Well, the book is a lot more lighthearted and childish than the movie (which is logic, it being writen for children), but Peter Jackson has done a marvelous job in adapting it for an older audience. But you'll probably be able to read it in the time the first movie runs lol.
I have to confess that I only knew about Martin Freeman from his work on the Serlock BBC series and was greatly impressed by his performance as Watson, but otherwise he was uknown to me. And since I didn't spoil myself about who was playing who in the Hobbit movie, I was surprised to see "Watson" as Bilbo. Now Martin Freeman is among my favorite actors XD He has really nailed Bilbo's character and I think he's also given Bilbo a more adventurous flair and resolve than he has in the book, all of it without losing the characters cuteness.

I'll try to have a go at the book ! I've tried to read the Lord of the Rings but was discouraged by the writing, maybe a child book will be easier for me
I did know Martin Freeman before Sherlock, mostly from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and he's the reason why I started to watch Sherlock ("hey I know this face"). But that's from then that he's one of my favourite actors too

The only tidbits I've seen of MF outside of his work on Sherlock are a few youtube clips from the tv series Bruiser, but now I have to look up for the Hitchhiker's Guide movie just because I'm curious about Martin Freeman in it, ha!
