i decided to go for a portfolio course this year instead, all that graphics larks made my folio a bitty bland, plus i kinda want a year just to faff around, got acepted to do a portfolio at the tramway which is sweet and im submitting for the art school one soon, what about cher self, what you up to?

I'm at Newcastle specialising in illustration. I'd tried for Dundee last year, applying for direct entry to the illustration course but alas was unsuccesful. So I cut my loses and went to Newcastle. I aim to do a Postgrad at one of the three art schools though.

seems so, apparently there a independent study grant for people who studdy courses that cant get a bursery, its about 200 pounds which will help, also got allot more time to make the pennies, shveet that you got in, dont know if thats why youre peaces seem to be getting very suave indeed. does newcastle have the metro centre? there some place with a super market with a rollercoster in newcastle i think... :U

Good luck, I know someone else who is starting that course at the same time as yourself. The GSA connection should put you in a good stance for getting into one of their degree courses. I'm going to be doing their summer course next year which will cost me an estimated £650 (including travel) so £800 isn't that disasterous when you think about it.
Cheers for the compliment. I'm feeling a lot more confident about my work but I'm going to keep pushing myself! Yeah, the Metro Centre is just accross the river, handy if you're bored by the city shops. There's a place called Metro Land which has a few attractions but they're more orientated towards kids.

I've actually been to Ayreshire a few years back - I stayed at Blairqhan castle and I ate fish and chips in Ayre if I recall correctly
