Ahhh.....a Vonnegut Fan....
"1492. As children we were taught to memorize this year with pride and joy as the year people began living full and imaginative lives on the continent of North America. Actually, people had been living full and imaginative lives on the continent of North America for hundreds of years before that. 1492 was simply the year sea pirates began to rob, cheat, and kill them."

I love Vonnegut. Have you read is new book, Man With Out a Country. It is really brilliant. It is not really up to the standards of his older works but he is close to eighty-five.

he's the one guy that really made sense and told it how it was when he did interviews. I haven't read the new one though. My favorites is Cat's Cradle even though it's relatively simple.

I liked Slaughter House five. It was very percetive. His bluntness is just amazing. In Man With Out A Country he list the beatitudes in the Bible, and said this doesn't seem like the Republican plank.

Haven't read 'Slaughter House', though I've been told to from friends about a hundred times. Unfortunately I have been pretty busy for the last few months and haven't had a whole lot of time for reading. When I do get a break for leisure I usually draw.
