summer classes start in April after the Holy Week (for catholics)..

we have two semesters..

the first.. from june to october...

Ah.

I myself, have actually just graduated from that abysmal doomcage I oh ~so~ lovingly called "high school". After spending three years in a "prestigious" Washington college prep school, I was then forced to move south to find out just how ~wonderful~ the Southern Californian educational system was.

(Eh, I'm rather bitter of the crap they pass off as education in the state of California.)

Once you've seen better conditions, you become rather critical of claims of greatness from lesser realms. (I learned almost nothing in my last year of high school... ) I'm sure the administration of that school would have excluded me from the graduation ceremonies for wounding their little pride if I'd pointed out just how pathetic their poor little budgetless institution was.

I apologise if I sounded stuck up at all just now, but I've become truly appreciative of my old school, and all of it's little nuances. Looking back, I realize that I loved that place I went to for the first three years. The whole atmosphere of it all was really fun. I suppose I cannot truly rag all on that place I went to last year though... I've come out of it a changed man. More confident, more one to stand up for myself. I guess nowhere in the world can truly be conidered "bad", for in all places can we improve upon ourselves somehow.

really..

well mine, i graduated elementary in a Catholic school. It was real fine... and abysmal. St. Scholastica's College Manila.. an all girls school.. but due to some "financial problems" i transferred to Statefields School.. its somewhat nearer to us..

my grades were fine.. except for that darn MATH.. i really hated it.. but i never failed.. i only had stupid "7's" on my card..

now... im in college.. and hopefully i'd pass.. specially now that everythings turning shitty.. dammit... to much stuff to read! im really getting intoxicated with all those english literature... mainly Beowulf!!!! weve been discussing that for a week now!

you know... i really wanted to take up fine arts. but damn.. i just cant...
too expensive you know... different standard of living and education isnt primary.. rrr... stupid gov't.. anyway.. i still have plans to take it up AFTER i graduate and while i have a job.. wish it would go well...

Ah, seems many have unique exthperiences with the lower levels of education. I had no real love for math myself, and I soon discovered (to my dismay) last year that I had more than enough credits in math and elsewhere, and thus I had no need for taking a math class. I do hope I passed it. I've never seen my report card, but all I know's that I graduated, so I don't care too much about it.

Ah, the intoxication of the study of British Literature? Is that a good intoxication, or a bad one? I myself have always found much enjoyment from that study, and I fully plan on majoring in Literature once I make my way into the college scene.

i wanna vomit! but anyway... the past week was not that tiring..
were moving on to serious reading..

this was assigned to me: "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf
and "Nostromo" by Joseph Conrad...

i havent began any of the two.. but i bought the two books already..
i currently have a fever... i hope it wont get worse... i cant afford to get sick with all thye dump of work on me..

Ah, the Miller's tale. I forget which one that was. Was that the one about the men trying to kill death, only to strike it rich and kill each other out of greed? (so many Canterbury tales... the only ones I can remember clearly are the Wife of Bath's tale, the... ~forgets his title~ the castrated corrupt priest, who said right before the tale that he would try to swindle his companions' money. )

Erk. Sneezing like a cat, eh? I sometimes sneeze because of cats, but only until my immune system kicks in.
