I don't know. I love the old series and I have it in DVD but I love the new for differents reasons.
The olds characters missed me in first place but the new are very different, like the background and the story.
I think Nickelodeon have done pretty well finally =D (Big Grin)

I love the references to the old series, like the cabbages xD And its so sad to see all the old characters either gone or really old! I wonder if Katara is still as badass? The thing i dont like much is that all the unique abilities like metal bending, chi blocking etc are pretty much available to everyone ;[ That and that Amon guy is scary... i dont even having bending powers but it has me freaking out FOR them!

The only thing that annoying me is the death of Aang! It's always like he was somewhere else for me
