Copying, or forging, another persons signature, is a federal offence. No school would tell you to copy another artists signature, let alone their work.

wow.. in my college (I have a bfa in painting/drawing from 2002)
we were told that plagerism (ie, copying other peoples writing, art, etc) is wrong and to get our own ideas.. I suggest dropping what ever 'school' you're going to and find one with less shadey people teaching it.

listen guys and girls I totally agree that many of these pics are not mine.. but in my school we learned to copy paintings extremely exact even with signatures !! almost all of my paintings are drawed by myself.. but I will not take any credits for the ideas but dont kill me for repainting pictures i like!

Without specific reference against which to judge the pieces, the mere variation of style doesn't require theft. Not that this eclipses the possibility, by any means, but I'd reserve such a judgement against proof, and rather move that it would suggest the necessity for investigation.
