And well, it's just a form of politeness i guess. Plus, the more faves you get, the more attention your works might get, so people are thankful of course. But thanking for faves is more a common habit.

But some people get annoyed with all those thanks, so they mark it on their user-pages that they don't need those thanks.

Well, you're already working with color and i guess that's good. Your choice of colors is ok too ^_^

I'd advise working on anatomy and details a bit. Try drawing with a reference, or adding more details into your drawings.

And if you want to get more attention to your art, i'd advise drawing some fanart, it always works.

Well, that's about all the advice i can give.

And finally, don't get upset if you don't get many pageviews instantly. That sort of stuff builds slowly.

So what is anatomy? I have a general idea but i'm not entirely sure

OMG, well... Anatomy is part of biology, a science about human body. You should know human anatomy to draw humans correctly. Well, or at least have an idea about it. Try searching for tutorials on DA.

To draw more anatomically correct pictures you have to take reference and practice. Simple.
And drawing with a reference is using, say, a photo or model when drawing, like looking at it to check the pose, or the way the light falls, and stuff like that.

And, oh my, you can't be serious about fanart. It's art created by fans of something: cartoons, movies, games. Ppl draw it a lot. Just type "fanart" into DA search and you'll see what i'm talking about.

Depends, but i don't really like OC. I prefer using PhotoShop, or Oekaki.
Drawing in traditional media is fun too.
