# About me
I was born in Amsterdam, Holland. As a girl I wrote stories, drew, stitched and knitted, the last almost professionally - creating and selling fashionable pullovers on demand. All this was considered as a hobby, but not as a profession. Same with my overflowing imagination. Ever since I was about 10 years old I had otherdimensional friends (ODF's), always something to do with music. People told me I would meet a real man someday and have a real marriage and then I wouldn't need ODF's anymore, and that would be much, much better.So I was a good and well-adjusted girl and I studied history and got a job as an antiquarian bookseller and I married a German, with whom I have two sons.
We moved to Germany in 2001.
My eldest son used to watch DBZ and to do him a favor I bought a CD with anime-songs. One song was called Raditz vs Piccolo and it said that he wanted to purge the planet of any life. Well, I felt the same way, so wanted to find out who this guy was and whether we could join forces. Without internet it took me weeks to find out who this Raditz was, finally found him in a fan magazine I had bought for my son, to encourage him to read. Then I learned the Raditz-saga from an audio-cassette.
For the next months I spent a lot of time thinking about him and how to get him out of hell and suddenly one day I had an ODF again.
Wanting to have him with me always I copied his portrait from the series (the video I had bought in Holland in the meantime) and on a t-shirt.
I have been with Raditz since 2004 and he not only inspired me to start painting, but also to leave my husband and get a divorce.
I live alone with him now, in Eutin, where we first met and I am happy and no one will ever convince me again, that a 'real' man etc, is much, much better. What's real, anyway? Look at my pictures.
My pseudonym really is Dara, but that name was already taken in DA.
