BL 3 kind of fence sitting with it to be honest. I have long stopped taking notice of hype even with the pedigree that it has from the past two titles what would concern me is that the land scape of FPS shooters has changed so much in the last few years it might not be up to the expectations warranted for it.
I tend to wait to see what some of the unbiased reviews are and then go from there. Also not to want to sound controversial but the Epic exclusive thing really annoyed me and the attitude that Randy Pitchford has displayed on Twitter. He seems to have forgotten gamers the one's who make his and any other publishers game a success or failure and to slag off people for disagreeing and crying foul of the Epic store thing is not smart. I work in a public facing role with customers and that's not a good way to earn the kind of loyalty you want from them.

yeah we'll see what happens. but i personally find twitter a big problem. It at times exposes the worst in people unintentionally. Like what happened with James Gunn and GotG vol.3
In honesty, all i care about is the game, whatever political backlash there is, complaints between 2 adults, won't affect my daily life in any way shape or form or enjoy the game i'm playing. At the end of the day, games are just pieces of entertainment. It's good that people feel passionate about them, but so are the developers working hard on the game itself. We should judge the work of those hundreds of talented employees over what a greedy publisher decides to do or an overly mouthy CEO does. Sure the EGS deal does suck for some people, but the game isn't locked away and won't impede how fun the game is.
i ask myself:
- Do i like the borderlands franchise? yes
- from what was showed in streams, does interesting to me? yes
Then it's a buy for me. I just want to have fun in life as i only have one and getting stressed over minor details isn't worth my time.

I see your point about it not being connected to BL3 but if someone in such a high profile post thinks it's acceptable to do that and given he's meant to be a professional games developer you have to wonder if he's trying to bait the people who have been critical of his leadership of the production of the game and it's impending release on Epic as well. On the face of it it struck me as a goading response because he did not like how the larger public reacted and is looking to stir the pot. If I personally was a investor or had money in 2K or Gearbox this would have concerned me a lot and as it shows the man is either unstable or behaving like a child either which begs the question why has no one further up his company's command chain told him to wind his neck in and stop it.
