But I still do believe you can confront people without stooping to insults, regardless of genders, sexuality, age, culture and everything else that makes us different. I may be a woman, but I can still hold my own, and trust me, I have had far worse!

And you can't blame Hodari for blocking you after that incident. Clearly he's is not the type who was going to tolerate any of that bull after one journal.

Honestly, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't expect anything after what happened. If you don't expect anything at all, it'll save you from a lot of disappointment.

Hodari blocked you because he felt you were insulting everyone who made a comment on his previous journal. And like I said, he's not going to tolerate it anymore than he has to.

What's done is done now. The best thing you can do is learn from this experience and to not repeat it in the future.

So yeah, if you want DA to keep it clean, you'll have to practice what you preach. So for next time if you find yourself getting annoyed, bite your tongue before you say anything before you start insulting everyone. That is the first step to keeping it clean.

It really depends on what you want to draw/paint with.

I'm more inclined to begin traditionally by sketching, mainly with a pacer 'cause it's thinner. And I would finish the art piece digitally by adding the color.

o kewl. In your case it'll be easier since you're using both methods.
Starting from a pencil, you'd have more freedom designing and can be loose.
Bc u can clean it up and fix it digitally right?
By the way what program do you use to color?

I do feel that way! XD Although I have a tablet, I feel limited when it comes to sketching so I stick to the traditional way. I use photoshop to clean up and color my work.

Sorry took so long to reply.I haven't fogotten about you.
My response to your question got soooo long that I decided to make a journal out of it.
Then I realized my skin journal was outdated so tried to find a good skin.
None of them was good, so decided to make my own realizing I don't know anything about it! kekeke
I gave up . . .
But! Atleast I decided to respond to you, back to square one. funny eh? Here it goes . . 

For drawing then, I noticed too late, don't buy anything!

Just pencil and paper is fine.

I got suckered into buying so many kinds of pencil, mech pencil, charcoal, eraser, smudger etc.

And I end up using only HB pencil or B  pencil. So sad.

That's why I'm drawing so much, trying to exhaust my supplies. kekeke

It's great b/c it's like the poor man's art and you can still get good results.

If you have the money and you want to splurge then invest in paper.

Paper makes a huge difference, experiment on them.

No need to get fancy like what kind of color, just focus on whether you like a rougher texture or smoother texture. That's it!
