This will sound random but have you ever read The Gathering?
I only ask because your name being 'Mya-Kat', the character's name is Mya and she can turn into a cat ... well a cougar but same thing.

And because The Gathering is the second trilogy in a 'set' of trilogies I'm giving you the link to the first set, though you can read The Gathering on it's own just fine, I prefer the trilogy of link below best ... it's got more action and the character is more like myself so I can connect more. Both are amazing by the way, in my opinion that is. Anyway yeah, here you go.
