here's your starter, dear. <3 sorry if it sucks :'^)It was one of the first times she had left New Zealand, having never been on a plane before. She had always wanted to go to the Nordic region, and now was her chance. One day she had woken up and decided that, ya know what ?? I'm going to go to Norway. And what better place to start than the Capital ?? The flight had been long, and she dreaded most of it due to her motion sickness, but she distracted herself with music and the sight outside the window. When she landed, she was rolling her suitcase behind herself with a backpack on when she paused. She didn't know the language, or where she was going. Hell, she didn't even know where a hotel was. Her high spirits quickly turned low as she looked around frantically, anxiety beginning to cloud her mind. She began to ask around, though was usually not understood or ignored. Soon she came to the tall, blonde male; tugging on his shirt a bit. "Ex-excuse me, do you uh-- speak English ?? " She asked, feeling tears beginning to form.

Did he speak English? Turning around to face whomever was pulling at his shirt, Thomas raised an eyebrow
"Yeah, why?"
Was she alright? Did she need something? The tall, blonde Norwegian, raised an eyebrow, tilting his head to one side.
"Can I help you?"

Sighing in relief, she gave a nod. "Y-yeah, um well I kinda flew over here just then um.. Do you know a good hotel to stay in or something ?? "

Thomas looked the smaller girl up and down, she looked a bit distressed, had she even done research before coming here?
"D'ya know how to get there?"
He knew the answer already, but perhaps she just wished to find the exit to the airport.

Repeating this over in her head, she slowly shook her head. "As stupid as it sounds, no, I don't.. I don't even know the language."

Little later than I had hoped ;; things have come up at home, so apologies in advance should I not reply )
It was a chilly day, the sky a pale blue colour, not a wisp of cloud to prevent the frost from settling down on any surfaces it so could; yet the sun was warm, the perfect weather for sweaters and scarves rather than bulky coats and boots. Sitting inside, his eyes watching the citizens going about their day, Thomas sat in a little cafe, claiming his spot nearest the large window where he could watch and just let his mind wander, allow him to be content and relaxed.
He was waiting. He hadn't been waiting too long, but he had been waiting for someone to make an appearance, he hadn't seen her in so long, he actually felt disappointed in himself. Sipping his coffee, he let out a long sigh.

She was running late. The meeting she'd attended ran longer than she anticipated. She glanced at her phone as she walked briskly down the streets of Oslo, heading towards a little cafe on the back side. It had been a hectic day to begin with, she shouldn't have been so ready to accept an invitation for coffee. But here she was, almost tripping over her heels as they clicked down the road. Finally she reached the small square, tugging her blazer closer as a chilly breeze blew by. Sighing in content as she entered the warm building, she scanned the room to find her acquaintance, soon catching sight of them by the window. "Sorry I'm late," she apologized, taking a seat across from him.

"Not a problem," Thomas gestured to the coffee cup across from him and pushing his curls from his face.
"How did your meetin' go?"
Stuffing his phone back into his pocket, Thomas sipped from his coffee again, he offered her a smile, adjusting his jumper.

"Boring as usual. They kept me longer to talk about something I'm already aware of." Rolling her eyes at the thought, she let out a deep sigh and leaned back, trying to relax. It was the perfect day for a nice hot cup of coffee, and Kirsten was quick to grab one for herself. "So? What did you want to see me for? Something wrong?" It wasn't often that she and Thomas got together, and she hoped it wasn't bad news that brought them here this time.

It was true the two never got together often, Thomas had his own life with his own concerns, as did Kristen. He chuckled softly and shook his head

She rolled her eyes at his comment and sipped from her coffee mug. "Has it really been that long since we sat down to talk? The time goes by so fast these days, it's hard to believe." It was rather sad that they never got together. How long had it been since she even saw Thomas at a glance? Years probably. More than just a few at that.

Well, it was safe to say he would have looked older; taller, firmer and complete with a little blond beard, compared to years before when he was lanky and clean shaven. Still he held the same crooked smile and he nodded
