Its perfectly okay, if I could help I would like to help.

So far from listening to your songs its obvious you are a female rockband. Now I'm not calling out anything, but its going to be a challenge right there since people will obviously compare you to other bands they enjoy. That is no different than me saying "I want to get into webcomics" when there is so many out there to begin with. You can make everything entertaining as long as you have a strong sense of what you want to say. Listening to your music, I got some fast paced music, while there are times it can go slow if a certain mood requires it. Than I got some good lyrical connections and it flows well with the instrumental. And what is most important is this, the music should be the star. Even though its great to be recognized and appreciated for what you do, it will only sound vain to the public. I don't see the lead singer trying to sing louder than the drums nor the bass. While the instruments don't go on longer than they need to in connection to the lyrical tone. Brain Tumor being the best example of instrumental playing as though it were a dance, and Bitches being a good sound for when you are just having fun.

But either way, there is potential in your music and I'm sure you will be recognized for it. But the one thing I will say is to remember that its about making good music. This rule is crucial in the most philosophical of songs and the most mind numbing table dancing songs. So many bands disband over little things like drama and image to the point that they don't care about the music they made. Really hope to see a good album one day. And hope this long comment helped.

And hello from America my little Polish neighbors

If I can say something, it might be helpful. Though I'm glad you got something from this exchange, I do wish to say something else.

As we mature and get older we learn and adapt to not wonder like we used when we are children. We learn to accept that things are unreachable and that our lives are on a simple path to and from our everyday of routine of getting coffee, going to work, complaining about random stuff, and going home to prepare again for tomorrow. But this life is nothing more than a lie as we closed our minds to the impossible. Instead, allow yourself open to even the most random and seek it ouw. Like you would go to the grocerry store and notice a man that just seems out of place in his shopping. Cackling lightly as he gathers a few things that seemed to have no purpose. Strangely you see something move in his cart among the floor cleaner, grapes, and milk 5 days away from expiring. Strangely he lives close to you as both of you cars turn onto the ever so familiar street and you see a twinkle in the tree that thankfully the strange shopper didn't notice. It was a little sprite, and she was scared. Saying to watch out for the man she saw shopping for he gained knowledge from experimenting her and her little friends. And now you leave yourself with this question, do you walk away like that sprite didn't say anything, or do you open your heart and figure out how to solve this problem. And hopefully end the reign of the mysterious man who has now grown so strong with what he did behind closed doors.

Sorry if that seems random, but the point is to keep your mind open. Look at everything and don't dismiss it as normal everyday stuff. See the faerie queen that runs the groccery store, find the tentacles that hide in trees, and find the magical sword that your parents no doubt hid in the garrage. And really, glad I can help you with these talks.

lazzibum In reply to UsagiKnight [2011-10-20 20:40:56 +0000 UTC]

Wow that was really interesting what you said just then about the sprite
i would definitely open my heart to it.

It reminds me of something the dalai lama said
he was asked 'What thing about humanity surprises you the most?'
and he answered β€œMan, Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. Then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present, and as a result he does not live in the present or the future. He lives as if he’s never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.”

UsagiKnight In reply to lazzibum [2011-10-21 15:27:20 +0000 UTC]

Glad you like it. The point is to open your heart and restrain your brain. Nowadays we want to explain things instead of just accepting things. Its like movies that try to explain every piece of magic instead of just accepting that it happens. If you keep your mind open you will be able to find an adventure anywhere.

That is really interesting about the Dalai Lama. It is so true and not many people want to accept that it happens. It has become a terrible spiral that no one realizes that time has progressed and so many good things have occurred and they don't even realized it happened as they are still trying to find the immortality to enjoy said happiness. (that is what i got off of it)

I can even understand because I have a few problems that keep me from truly living. Seeing people all upset because they gained a bit of weight and have a reality show based around it has become an insult to me knowing that I can't take a pill or a diet plan to make it go away. Sad to see

Than I'm happy I can help, as an aspiring webcomic artist myself I do want to help as much as I can. I see great potential and therefore it deserves the attention it needs to be nurtured. It sucks when you put the time and effort to share dreams with the entire internet and all anyone says is "nice pic" or "purty gurl". So for the effort you took to share this piece with me, its fair that I give as much effort to show how it affected me so you can make the story better. Hopefully in someway it helps make your story more real to you.
