Well i think u should have a flashback seen where it shows Azula's early feelings for Tylee while they were traveling and hunting the avatar. U could make it like a forbidden love thing!

I think there's plenty of time for flashbacks and regrets, yes, but I don't want to revisit too much of the series. That's all in the past at this point, and we see Azula as not so much a fan of revisiting the past. If I were to do this, it would be a flashback of nothing more than her own thoughts essentially. This entire story operates on the premise that Azula and Ty Lee never expressed any strong feelings for one another until Homeward Bound, ch. 7 I think it was, so to have a flashback of a forbidden love scene or anything like that would be, well, silly.
I could explore her conflicting thoughts and emotions of the time, but it's hard to say for certain that she wasn't entirely and single-mindedly preoccupied with hunting down her brother and the avatar.
Ultimately, I want to avoid flashbacks as much as possible, unless they serve a very specific, very concrete purpose to the plot at hand. It may come up though, you never know. Bear in mind, the better portion of this story is as of yet unwritten and unthought of, so there's still plenty of surprises for myself even as to what will happen to our two lovely ladies. One of the things I love about writing this is that even I don't always know what's going to happen next ; D

Took a couple days off to hang out with a good buddy of mine, he may have been taking a 45 day vacation to the big brick house with barred windows so I decided to hang out with him for a bit. Looking at picking up on the story I was already in the works on here over the next couple days. I have a little green helper, so that usually helps me write some awesome stuff x D

In all honesty though, I did add a bit more the other day, and looking over it again, the chapter's got enough to post as it is right now, I just want to get to a specific point before ending it. On a positive note, I've burned through a good deal of my skyrim kick, so I should be re-allocating more time for writing here.

while waiting for your next chapter (not trying to rush just saying) I have had the pleasure or going back and rereading the story (Tears of the Soul) and I must say Hindsight is amazing. I did not really pay any attention to the Messenger hawks towards the beginning. It makes me wonder how much did you plan this story out?

In all honesty, I get ideas for really cool moments and work the rest of it around those. I know the general direction I want the story as a whole to progress, and I just fill in the minor details as I go.
I swear, I've had the ending to this story in my head ever since the second day of writing, and if I ever just put that up one day, you guys would go nuts demanding to know what happened x D

When did Azula realize that she was in love with TyLee? Was it before or after she went insane? Because when TyLee comes to visit Azula she says "I still love you TyLee." I'm just saying its a bit of a hole in your story. No offense.

Personally, I feel like it was always there, even if it wasn't entirely acknowledged. Perhaps the traumatic experience of being incarcerated gave her enough time to realize it, or perhaps now that ascending the throne isn't her top priority she has the time to actively explore and pursue these other aspects of her life. The thing to remember here is that, it being a fanfic, I don't have 100% control of the characters and what makes them tick, I have to build off of what is already there and balance what I want to happen with what has already happened. It's a delicate process that, if done poorly, can have devastating consequences for the entire story.
I thank you for questioning these things though, as it keeps me on my toes. If I grow complacent with what I have written and just leave it be, I could be leaving myself vulnerable to potentially story-destroying plot holes. I'll have to go back and read it to see exactly how it looks in context, and if I feel it needs to be changed I'll do just that. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention, and if you ever sense a potential plot hole or anything else that should be addressed feel free to let me know, I really appreciate it.

No prob. Since i got into this Tyzula stuff, i've noticed its been there to. And i can see where you are going this. Now that she's lost her main purpose, she been given a chance to explore herself. Figure out what she likes and more importantly, WHO she likes.
You don't have to ix the whole if you want, it was just a question i had.
