I heard about your "sunny disposition" story, I'd like to read it, can someone send me a link to read it?

Dude, I just realized that I've barely favorited any of your awesometastic story that I've been obsessed with for years, so I went back and favorited pretty much every single chapter of Sunny Disposish on principle. Pathetic? Yup. Don't care, you deserve it.

I was introduced to your incredible story and beautiful writing five years ago, and have revisited it countless times since. I always find more and more through rereading, comments, and your great chapter guides and countless links to your inspirations. The time and passion you have poured into Sunny Disposish is so admirable, and I am beyond grateful to you for sharing this with all of us. I adore all facets of this story, especially every detail of foreshadowing/symbolism, which expands my mind and keeps me on my toes to even try to imagine what you have in store for these characters. Truly, thank you for this story and being wonderful to share it.Β

It's incredible how stories take on a life of their own. How we think we're just reading them for a little while, and then somehow without our noticing they burrow inside us, and stay lodged there beneath our ribs, a part of us.Β
SD is truly that kind of story. I do hope that one day we'll know where the boat is headed, and all that must follow. In the meantime, I intend to read the whole thing over again, not for the first time. It's such a delicious place to live for a while.

I don't want you to think I'm pressuring you, but is there any chance of an SD update happening soon? I'm still crazy about that story, even after all these years!

I started reading this story when I was in middle school with my best friend and now it's my senior year of high school and your story is still amazing. When ever I tell my friends about this story I say "it's what should have happened in stead of the Tim Burton movie". I'm very excited to read the new chapter.

I really wish the the Hatter will be okay. But consuming copious amounts of opium tea...life doesn't look like its going to be nice to him in the near future. On a side note, I absolutely love your story. Thank you so very much for sharing it with the world via the interwebs. I am very much looking forward to the next chapter! Have a loverly day, dawn, night, evening or morning!

I'm pretty sure I clicked on a link for a cat video (it always starts with cat videos) and after multiple links and clicks I ended up on DeviantArt reading SD and I must say that I thoroughly enjoy your writing! The details and hints you've put into SD are amazing; I wanted to thank you for sharing your work and to let you know that I look forward to the next chapter(s).

Hello, you taker and passer of bar exams, you.
I bought Rimmel London "Rags to Riches" nail polish because it looks like OUaT's Rumplestitskin's skin. (I am a little embarrassed to admit this, but there you are.)

So I was inspired by the end of chapter 2 and made non-newtonian fluid for my preschool class to mess with today. They LOVED it. Thanks for your idea. Eagerly (but patiently, I do realize that you're a human being and have a life outside of SD) awaiting the next chapter, as always.

Oh man, I remember many a rainy day spent indoors with my mom's least-favorite tupperware dish, a box of Argo, and water, rolling it into a ball and then seeing how fast I could roll it before it melted all the way. Have you seen this , by the way? Genius.

PS- any thoughts on the latest OUAT Mad Hatter episode? I haven't decided what to think about it personally, and something tells me you probably have strong feelings one way or another. (Reginald is vastly better, of course, but that goes without saying.)

Valadilenne In reply to lwhite86 [2012-04-08 16:29:28 +0000 UTC]
I'm finding OUAT to be a show that inspires more than it actually creates. By that I mean that the fandom has far outstripped the show's writers in terms of creative plot development and characterization. It's a very addictive story, but... there's just something missing. I dunno, I liked Jefferson and I'm hoping that they'll *do* something with him, but I was very disappointed with the Wonderland CGI; it was probably the worst VFX they've done so far. I guess my thoughts are that I like it, I want it to be good, but it keeps falling just shy of what I really want.

Yes, the Wonderland effects were pretty horrific, it looked like they were in an old computer game or something. And as far as it missing something, maybe that's why the show is so addicting- you keep waiting for the rest of it. It has been a bit frustrating, seeing all this potential that they just don't seem to get to. But the ideas are so interesting, and I guess I just keep waiting for them to flesh it out...which they look like they're running out of time to do. Oh well. Thanks for responding!

Just realized I called him Reginald. Pretty sure that's Brianna's Hatter, not yours. Epic fail, my apologies.

This is a long and perhaps boring story, so it's okay to skip right over this. When I was a wee thing in ninth or tenth grade I started reading Sunny Disposish. There were only eight or nine chapters then. Then I freaked out about my grades and deactivated my account, but I kept thinking about Sunny Disposish. Last week I decided to go and look at it again, and lo and behold, 28 chapters as moving and delightful as I remember, and nerderific chapter guides! I finished reading them all yesterday, and enjoyed them so much I had to let you know and thank you for bringing this to the world. Keep writing, Val.~

I'm so glad you're back and enjoying it! It's always good to hear from people; that's what makes it easier to keep things rolling when I'm having a hard time with the story. Also, I think the spectator shoes in your deviantID are basically the greatest things ever.

Please tell me, where is the archive option on your redesigned tumblr? I cannot figure out how to view your archives. Not to say that I just got home a little tipsy and decided to continue drinking while I obsessively mine your public works for clues to my LONG, scribbled list of unanswered Sunny Disposish questions entitled "Sunny Disposish -- balls in the air" and completely deny the California Bar Exam that looms ominously in my near future.
